Ok, some information from @viasportveland who is VERY well connected and informed of things happening in LaLiga, and especially Real Sociedad. He rarely posts something unless he knows. Here's what he said:
-Formal offer of €25m from Spurs, which was declined.
-Willian Jose then asked to be omitted from the match day squad.
- RC want closer to €50m
- Willian Jose is pushing to get the transfer done
- RC publicly having a go at Willian Jose
- RC realise that the €50m valuation is too high, and an agreement is close to be made in the region of €30m. 21 of that will go to Real Sociedad.
 
And this is what he says about Willian José:
Very good at his best, extremely bad at his worst.
Last 4,5 years average is 2,6 games per goal. 11 out of 55 goals from penalty. Strong, good in the air, often drifts to the left and often scores the 1st goal of the game.

I am always happy when we sign players who are their team's penalty takers. It shows that the player has the cojones.

I am particularly excited about players who score the first goal of a game. Just what we need now.
