When he does go, I just hope people realise where the real issues lie.
Don't know how you work out it's a sly dig at Levy, it's 100% aimed at players that don't give 100% at the moment and aren't up for the fight.
If we had 15 players with the same attitude as Kulu we wouldn't be near this bad. Actually like what he is saying about excuses.
What Conte said and what Ange has said are night and day.

It's his job to motivate them, no? I don't think throwing one of the players under the bus is going to do him many favours.

He’s basically called out two players - one of whom is his vice-captain, a member of his leadership group. He’s thrown a hand grenade into the changing room. We’ll see how it unfolds.

It's his job to motivate them. It's also their job to motivate themselves and each other.
If they're not doing their part there's nothing he can do. At some point there has to come a point where he puts responsibility on them. If this was that moment and the right way to go about it I don't know.

I see it as lack of belief in the tactics of sprinting up and down the pitch relentlessly chasing the ball...
Poor touch and control can be effected by this after a while imo.
Then will Ange also explain why he's running boh fullbacks down to the ground needlessly?
My suspicion is that he knows he's a game or two away from the sack and wants to have the image of being sacked because the players have a poor attitude. If the players really did, then he has had ample time to drop them...if it's effectively the same line-up n Sunday then we know he is talking hot air to save face once he's sacked...

Romero was stupid in what he said, Ange handled as best he could, he didn't call him out.
Stupid what he said about Werner. Neither were anything like the way Conte behaved.
Just on whole Levy and backing the manager, I've touched on this before but under PL PSRs, ENIC cannot put much money into the club anyway, the club can only spend what it generates via profits and one big purchase like Solanke takes a lot of the profit. The big problem Spurs have had, squad-wise recently which Ali Gold often delved into in his YouTube for those that are interested are home-grown and club trained quotas. I think that does explain the big investment in very young players because to be "club trained" you need to have been registered at that club for 3 seasons between the ages of 15 and 21. So these <19 year old purchases are necessary to ensure our "club trained" contingent are of a decent quality come 3 seasons time. Chelsea really had the foresight to get on the identify a tonne of young talent, get them on the books and keep or sell in a never ending conveyor belt of keeping your PSR good with player sales and your club trained and home grown quotas tight too. We are unfortunately playing catch up and if you want to point the finger at Levy that's due to having so much instability, no real scouting and analysis function or youth recruitment programme for years. We used to be really good at it when David Pleat was here. Levy allowed it to slide badly.
It doesn't matter when we break this manager and the next one. Folks will still hero worship teflon. Honestly I think some fans love him more than the club.
The issue at Spurs is down to one person and it has been since around 2012.

In his press conference this afternoon he said when asked about Romero’s comments that they were “another excuse” and that “he’s sick of excuses.”
Ah, thought it was about when he responded to him a couple of days ago. He's right in what he's saying but should be done in house. Maybe it has and he's starting to get frustrated?
This is what always happens. Managers when they're in the dying days start the "it wasn't all my fault". How forceful that is, is down to the individual's personality and also how much of a f*** they give about burning bridges with the club. Ange is clearly lashing out a bit and that only really happens in a "last rites" situation if we are being honest.

I'm not saying this will necessarily happen but we all said the same thing last season: when everybody's back, we'll make a push for top 4. In the end, they came back but we never recaptured our early form. So, I'd go so far as to say that for Ange to not only survive but get anywhere, these injuries need to stop because we can't afford to write off two of the busiest months of the season every season.
