I would say there is a less than 1% chance of Lange stepping in to the coaching side of things.
Longer the team is left to drift, the harder it is for next manager
United got Amoral from a club at top of their league in middle of season, if we want, we can replace Ange. And we have paid for managers before

Have to be honest, if we sacked Ange and put Mason in charge for the rest of the season, I’d struggle to motivate myself to go to many more games. Absolutely nothing against Mason but if the club was willing to write the season off like that, I’ll be fudged if I’m willing to spend my money to watch a zombie version of Tottenham for 4 or 5 months.

we’re not Man Utd. We’ll have to go through a bunch of managers turning us down before we find a patsy to take the job and he’ll probably be a patsy with a completely different style and shape to Ange.
That's Munn and Lange's job and to be honest, they should have that "patsy" lined up already

I don't know. I think actually that the sad thing about Postecoglu and how it's going. I actually think with some little tweaks, this tactic and style could be incredible. I think Mason could give us an injection of something just by doing stuff like playing to players strengths: stuff like putting Maddison in a 10, giving Son less pressing responsibilities and allowing him to sit inside closer to Solanke. Play Kulu on other flank and push full backs wider on the overlap rather than inverted. Drop the other 8 back to a double pivot to provide more protection.
Even with that and dialling the aggression and hung ho attacking just down a notch would probably make a world of difference and start picking up points on a far more consistent basis.
If they allow this to continue for the rest of the season it's more a write off than anything else they could do.

It is if you've a reputation for paying a manager big wages, but not willing to also wage the big wages of said managers targets....as i say, the veneer has well and truly slipped in term,s of how we go about things, it's why we ended up with Postecoglou in the first place

Bear in mind our squad deficiencies that were highlighted last year and the fact we finished 5th last season having had no European football to contend with...

Think he means wages. We’re never going to pay the same wages as the big boys. Look at the wages to turnover ratio.
We pay big wages for managers targets. That ceiling has been well and truly smashed in recent years. In fact, one of the huge problems we've had in recent years in terms of trimming the squad is because nobody interested in taking the players can match the wages our players are on. That's why you've had players like N'Dombele, Lo Celso, Sanchez and Reguillon stick around like bad smells.
Timo Werner is someone Ange wanted and we are paying him over £120K a week. It was a significant outlay for the club in terms of wages and loan fee.
Richarlison will be another we would struggle to shift as he signed a big deal on a whopping wage.

Yeah, but wouldn't pay the wages for the likes of Neto, Eze....but instead bought the likes of Odebert, Bergvall and Gray. I'm sure the wages of the ones we got were comparable to the wage demands of the likes of Eze, Neto...right?
Also, are you telling me if it was a case of you can have Werner or Neto, Ange would have chosen Werner?

63M spent on a striker a year later than was needed and a year later than when 100M was recouped for our ageing record striker...
40M on someone who no doubt earns the same wages as other top-level midfielders who could been brought instead or even alongside, right? Was this signing stopping us from buying an Eze or a Neto?

I agree that Ange should be doing better with what he/we have. But that doesn't hide the fact we as usual cheap out on things on the playing staff when it looks like we should push on. Ange has shown his limitations but the fact he is our coach and the fact we again cheap out on our transfers also shows the reasons we will be swerved by coaches with ambition

I am on the Fence when it comes to Levy, but I am so bored with the Ange wasn't backed line
We brought the most promising player in the Championship and haven't started him once in the PL at CM since he joined despite moaning about player fatigue, he is only getting minutes now due to an injury crisis at the back
He got his first choice striker, which we paid over the odds for
Werner back on loan on high wages.
His choice of CB last Jan
Plus we took hits on players he did not want here anymore
The squad is far from perfect, but you can not do it all in one window.
Mate, pick a better example, Neto was a no go for us due to injuries, said it earlier, in an Ange system?
Chelsea is paying Neto same as we are paying Werner, the difference was (besides clubs), Chelsea gave an injury prone player a 7 year contract, the guy would have taken that over fudging City/Barca
Eze is still at Palace mate, nobody beat us to his signature, Palace sold the player they needed to sell and that door closed.

Odebert was the player we bought instead. That;s quite a drop down in experience/ability from Neto would you not agree? I think it's quite likely the wages needed to get Odebert were quite a lot lower. I'm sure there were others between Neto's level and Odebert's, but again, it seems we like to go for the 'bargain' version of targets so we can more likely make a profit selling when they overperform and it looks like they'll outgrow us (and our ambition).
Eze is still at Palace because very few of our competitors need him/his profile. If we wanted him, we could have bid for him and paid the requisite wages/fees and he would have come.

My general point is that we went into the summer with certain needs if we were to push on. Fact is that we bought ONE first-teamer, i.e. one player who when bought you immediately knew would go straight into the first team. One!
