Oh I see, a tax thief. I thought you rode the high ground and refused child tax credits?By the time I kick the bucket I plan to have around 10-15 good watches.
My son will know to just take them before the taxman gets his grubby mitts on them.

I've refused handouts before. I'll be fudged if I'm leaving a tax bill for items on which I've already paid tax though - that's bulbrick.Oh I see, a tax thief. I thought you rode the high ground and refused child tax credits?

Just what I like really. As I said earlier, I'm not interested in buying new. What would be the mix? brand/type?

I'd really like a couple of Patek Phillipes but whilst I'm still paying a mortgage they're out of my price range.
The bulk will be much cheaper than that though - special edition Tags, an Omega, lower end IWC.

My day to day watch is an Android watch - does the job perfectly.- A GPS/Atomic that switches time/zones automatically (I travel a bit for work and resetting time is a pia), nothing really grabs me on the offerings available right this moment

I don't mind having more watches than is sensible as I see it as a good way of avoiding IHT. Of all the nice things to buy (that don't need to be on a will) watches and wine tend to keep their value best.
Wine doesn't keep its value whilst you enjoy it so that leaves watches.

300 for the Pogue, 425 for the FC. Think the latter was the better investmentHow much did they set you back?

Yes I think equivalent glass will cost around 150 which I still think is a good price but these are still retailing at around 1600 so I’m pleased as I was expecting to pay around 800-1000 for a second hand one.425 is good, maybe because the glass needs replacing?
The FC’s a nice piece.Anyone into automatic watches at all? I had a few Seiko 5s but I’ve recently gone up a level and picked a couple of used ones I’ve been after for a while recently, a vintage Seiko and a Frédérique Constant dress watch that needs the glass repairing (which bought it into my price range!).

I like it. Have to run big purchases past her indoors now.

Buy him a rep $400I thought so. Walked past their shop in town the other day. Want to get my son a nice on for his birthday but worry that he would worry about it being stolen.
