Only players who are past their peak and who want >£100k per week (Hart, Zabaleta, Chicarito,...)

Ridiculous, but it makes some sense in the current market, given he was otherwise going for free in the summer.

£350k pw is around £50 million over a three year contract. An Ozil replacement would likely have cost that in transfer fee alone, before considering wages. A £30 million player on 125k pw would cost about the same as Ozil's contract.
