Raphina ain't no wingback. Only a crazy South American would consider that.
Neither was perisic. His defensive stats seem to be good.
Just a thought though.

Headline: Arsenal plan IMPROVED BID for Leeds’ Raphinha as Spurs and Chelsea loom.
They offered £35m i heard. Got told to do one. They'll have to improve it a lot.
But they all played for the same team in the same league together which imo is a massive difference.Kane, Son and Lloris had to endure Mourinho and Santo, yet their class remained permanent.
If we could get both i would. If Raphina can also cover the rwb role. That could be frightening. Raphina and perisic as wing backs.
We need cover for kulu tooRaphina would make perfect sense if we hadn't just signed kulusevski
We need cover for kulu too
I think that Deki could easily play central as wellThat's Moura. And hopefully someone like Richarlison who covers right across the front 3. Whereas Raphina and Kulusevski are essentially both specialist RWFs
We really need someone who can play as a #9, in case of an injury to Kane. Richarlison is a much better option than Raphinha for that reason
If you go for Raphina then you get in someone like Bererton to cover Kane
That's what I worry about. In the same way that Conte improved us pretty damn quickly, ten Hag could do the same -- and more! -- for Yanited. Their squad may be an unbalanced mess, but there are some players in there who've been seriously good in the past. Perhaps Eriksen does fancy getting A LOT of pitch time in midfield, along with two bloody good players from his old Ajax stomping ground. If United get Eriksen and De Jong they could have a midfield of
Van De Beek De Jong
Eriksen
Ten Hag had De Beek and De Jong playing incredible football at Ajax and we would have all creamed our knickers for that midfield trio after that champions league run.
Finding this Raphinha interest a little odd. Unless he is also being considered as cover for Son on the other side but I don’t see any real history there. Or maybe a false 9?
Seems a lot of money to spend on a player that covers one position where we already have quality…….yeah I’ve discarded the wing back angle - really don’t see how it would work as playing there with Kulu is just going to be weird with them effectively taking up similar approaches. Surely a right footer working round Kulu works better for the RWB role.
Obvs fully aware we need a strong squad for this season but just see it as a big spend for what you’re going to get.
On the flip side - big fan!
Yeah moura just isn’t effective enoughThat's Moura. And hopefully someone like Richarlison who covers right across the front 3. Whereas Raphina and Kulusevski are essentially both specialist RWFs

Doesn’t score and doesn’t create
We need better
