Nope, two reasons -> 1/We have someone who's job (not side job) is to do this brick now 2/Conte isn't going to let us buy players he isn't interested in.

The biggest fudgeups with buying players is when you buy a player without a need (VDB/Sancho at United) or who doesn't fit the system (Ndombele, Bergwijn for us) or the manager won't accommodate (Lukaku at Chelsea, they simply don't play to him)

Everyone knows Conte isn't great with transfers. Same as Poch really. Most top coaches in fact - HR is just not part of their interest/skill set.

But that's why we have Paratici, an HR specialist, who to be fair has knocked it out of the park with his 3 big transfers to date.
 
You know, Normally we'd all be panicking and asking when Perisic will be confirmed, will we be outbid, and stressing about the announcement not happening yet.... BUT this window people are already like 'Ok, Forster check, Perisic check, so who we after next!?' lol
 
Why can things never be simple? Chelsea allegedly after martinez from inter. Not sure they would sell both bastoni and martinez.
 
Yeaj just read Lukaku plus cash for Martinez. Tuchel wants rid and he is happy to go back to Inter. What a disaster that was paying 100m for him.

I know I should focus on what Spurs do, but the thought of chelsea subsidizing 200k+ a week in wages to get shut of him really does cheer me up.

I read that different. Like they wanted to pair Martinez with Lukaku. Same source and writer.

Think inters ceo talked about getting lukaku on loan and dybala. Said they'd have to be creative this window and they're not in a rush.
 
We don't need to be creative this window. Just make Bastoni an offer he can't refuse.

We have Signor Conte, a great backline to fit into, excellent prospects for title contention next season.

And THIS much cash for you.

If there's one thing I've learned about splashing out top dollars for top of the line Nikon cameras and lenses, it's that you never complain about the price of quality.

Get Bastoni in early and the investment pays off in making Spurs even more attractive to players they want.
