Tottenham vs The Scum

It would be a silly argument if homophobia wasn't conflated with "the muslims" by those in the west which you yourself done in this thread.

Claiming amongst other things that all Muslim countries outlaw homosexuality, then when I showed you that is not true and there are actually more non Muslim countries that outlaw it. Instead if saying, you know what I learnt something today. Maybe I am making assumptions based on the discourse that I am being fed in the western media. Maybe I have been indoctrinated to have a unconscious level of Islamabhobia, and this is manifesting in the incorrect assumptions that I am making. You double down and say "I'm not phobic of Muslims."

Again not trying to be a Dįck just trying to educate, something that I appreciate having done to me when I learn something new and maybe change my perspective on something.

Anyway dude peace and love

You've educated me to the fact that not all Muslim countries criminalise homosexual behaviour, yes. Thanks, and sorry for ignorantly asserting this.

I'll still say that I'm religionphobic though. Since Islam is a religion, I guess I'm Islamophobic too. But I'll happily break bread and converse with any open-minded individual.

Just a reminder -again- the origins of this wild jag off-point are that scara believes that there is a PR firm behind Bukayo Saka who has engineered a situation where he cannot be criticized for poor performances because it would be considered racist.

Turkeys a strange hunk of burning love. Been going there on holiday for 25 years or more and also done quite a bit of business there
They pick and choose what parts of the faith they want to apply when is suits. Their very westernised and again IMO sound people to meet and socialise with. No one enforces anything on you

Out of interest what was the business that you done there?

I think it's because there are many Islamic terrorist groups currently who are constantly in the media citing some literature to justify their actions. If that's not bad enough it's on our doorstep in Europe where we cannot be European and have the freedom of speech questioned.

It just makes it unpalatable for all when crimes are committed in the name of some religion.

Just out of interest are there atheist terrorists? Or Christian terrorists? Or am I being naive?

The problem for me is that racists rely on people making excuses for their behaviour in order to create the space for them to operate. If you are not vocally anti-racist, you are aiding them.

So very true, and why people with legitimate/ non-racist (in their minds) reasons for booing Saka or players taking the knee can't be tolerated. There's a bigger picture here.

I’m quite anti religion myself
I see a LOT of good in it but the divisive nature of it is what puts me off
Religions have created states, caused wars and divided countries
But those who believe I also envy. That belief i something you can’t physically see is impressive

Absolutely, there's a lot of good in it and we wouldn't have progressed to where we are now as a species without it. There's a gaping hole in our secular societies as well, in the lack of community and spiritualism of religion and all the positives those bring.
Like you, though, I could never take that leap of faith.

There are no legitimate reasons for booing players taking the knee. Taking the knee is an anti-racist statement, if you are booing it, you are by definition, pro-racism.

I think that the same is true of Saka on Sunday. He has been subjected to unacceptable racist abuse, if you are not supporting him, you are supporting the abuse. Now that the support has been shown, he is a normal Arsenal player and should be treated as such.

Legitimate in their minds

They are wrong. There are no legitimate reasons for booing players taking the knee. It is an anti-racist statement, if you are booing it, you are supporting racism.
If you boo it your an idiot
You are as you say taking a stance against people making a stance against racism

what bothers me personally…. Is you look at those people and you can actually spot them a mile off

my brother regularly makes a racist comment and then defends himself by saying some of my best mates are black… the standard answer. And then he wonders why I tell him he is a fudging bell end. Just try to be better. Try to do and say the right thing. Don’t repeat it.

Agree with all of those except “Islam isn’t a race” because it’s not. If you can convert to it or apostatise out of it then it is not a race.

I'm not going to argue. It's pointless. Racists target Islam and Muslims for abuse because they think they can get away with pretending that they are being critical of a religion rather than being racist when the only reason they are singling it out is because of the race of many people who have that faith. If you feel comfortable with that, you are giving cover to racists.
