Managers say whatever they want. Pochettino probably said what he did to take the pressure off of the decision at that time. Now he is giving confidence to Walker Peters by selecting him. It's almost a poker game, just showing different cards and you can really only take so much from what is said. How often have we been told that a player is injured before they miraculously recover to play in the very next game?
