We need to change something, Swansea are well organised and sitting deep. We just need someone to take ownership and pull the strings in the final third, Eriksen is normally that person but he's not finding it easy to get into the game tonight
 
Fantastic ball from Chadli, just a smidgeon more from him more often and he's going into the same category as Eriksen from that summers shopping, ie Well worth it.

it is a bit of a strange one. townsend has now consistently proved over two seasons that he doesn't offer anything. the more he tries the further away he gets it would seem. i'd love to see lamela given a real run now. townsend blatantly isn't up to it.

then again, its not just townsend today: misplaced passes all over the place, knock it around the back then a hopeless long ball, poor crosses to no-one.

like i said, the key is taking the lead then holding it, letting the match develop and not letting these situations constantly occur when they aren't necessary. you wont get a an early goal every week, but when you do by GHod you have to cash in soooo much better than we do.

I think we've put in more crosses tonight than we have for the last 5 years combined. Poch has obviously identified them as something Swansea struggle with
 
Townsend, Eriksen, Mason, Bentaleb, Chadli, Rose all trying hit and hopes from distance this half. Is this all we have ?
 
Yet again we have an early period of dominance, fail to capitalize on it then gonads up at the defensive end.

I think Rose is doing a very good job and whipping in some very good balls, not much he can do if we only have Kane to aim for.
 
Lamela for Townsend at HT.
a. This game isn't about pace and high tempo.
b. This game isn't about long-range shooting, because probably about 70% of our shots were easily blocked (still we continue trying to score from distance and it kills the game).
c. We need some additional brains in attacking third.
d. They give our attacking players enough space, so it should be easier for Lamela, because he often looses ball when being pressed.
e. He is 23 today and should do something useful as a present for himself and Spurs fans.
