****TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Vs NORWICH CITY OMT THREAD****

So, with Parker out, I can now see that our attacks have been lightning speed, and free flowing, and we are cutting them to pieces with no one slowing down the play. Total football. What a first half.

Desperately missing Parker's intensity. We needed to be rattling into challenges the way we did v Swansea. Instead we have lost every 50 50 out there. Absolutely shambolic. Can't remember feeling this mad since a long while. fudging Spurs.

Positives: Still a draw. We've been lucky. Things can only get better.

Not technically true is it?

Well we're lucky to go in 1-1 tbh. Luka has been our stand out player, Lennon has been lively at times, Livermore is trying but he needs to protect the back 4 more, Ekotto has been solid, Defoe scored a good goal and looks lively at times, and Bale has bben good whenevr he got the ball (which tbh he hasn't done much at all. Bale also needs to work MUCH harder as it seems like he's just walking about at times.

kaboul, King, and Walker have been poor and Saha has done fudge all.

Livermore threaded a brilliant ball through to Defoe instantly turning possession in deep areas to attack. The problem is today the link between attack and midfield, not the link between defence and midfield.

Poor first half. Started well in the first ten minutes, but since we have struggled. They cause us problems everytime they hoof the ball up to their strikers, and that is every time they have the ball. Our centre backs lose the battle agaisnt their strikers every time, and they are exposed one agaisnt one back there. I think Livermore neede to drop deeper when they play it long so that we have an extra man to deal with the second ball. We must also avoid all the free kicks we give away, anywhere on the pitch. If I didn't know better I woudl think Sam Allardyce were their manager. Every free kick is a chance to score for them.

We need to move the ball better when we were in possession. Better movement, pass the ball quicker. Adebayor needs to come on for Saha. HE has been poor.

Trouble with this lineup is that Saha and Defoe excel as penalty-box strikers and Bale and Lennon as excel as hug-the-touchline wingers. We have no-one in the hole who can tie the strikers, wingers and central midfielders together. If VDV is too tired, I'd rather see Niko for Saha to give us a bit more balance. All of our players look miles apart at the moment.

The alternative is to hit long balls straight to Saha and Defoe, and / or focus on getting the ball quickly to Lennon and Bale so that they can run at their full-backs.

brick I forgot we were playing. Whose fault is it? Pav's? Bentley's? Ramos? Get Crouch off and get Keane on up top.

Sigh. Parker's not on the bench, is he? Sandro, perhaps? We need new legs, anyone at all. Take Saha off, put Sandro on. Push Modric up into AMC, then sub on VdV if we still look lazy and uncommitted after sixty.

Personally I am furious on Bale, Lennon, Defoe and in particular Saha - they are just not moving for the ball AT ALL.

Modric has noone to pass to. And they don't look the least bothered about it any of them

Other than Lennon and Defoe, I agree with that post.

Your right mate. Lennon has been really lively at least. And you can see he wants it. Benny hasn't been too bad actually.

Saha's first 45 mins there was as bad a performance I've seen since the days of the great Pav. I'm actually missing Pav, thats how bad its been.

The magnificent front 4 of Holt, Wilbraham, Bennet and Pilkington ably assisted by Howson and Johnson have absolutely dominated us. I dont care how arrogant this sounds, but do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?! Unreal. Wake the fudge up you absolute bunch of bottlers. C*nts

The brilliant cross from Bale that Defoe just missed sums up Saha for me at the moment, he was trotting into the penalty box like he couldn't give a fudge.

Where is our Roy Keane to rip some players new ones at half-time? We need one, SO badly. Livermore perhaps? Caulker, maybe? Someone Spurs, and yet a fire-brand...

Both are a problem. Livermore isn't protecting the defence and other than that great pass, hasn't created either. There seems to be no linkk between midfield and anywhere else.

No the problems are the link between attack and midfield AND the link between defence and midfield, more rthe latter than the former given how we have been defending so brickly.

Either put a rocket up his arse in the dressing room - cups flying etc - or sub him. If no parker, VDV for Saha and let Livermore and Modric sit deeper.
