Why the hell can't we keep our SHAPE! Even the likes of Leicester can play two banks of four. Why can't we do it!!!!
They've had all the chances but I wouldnt say they've had us on the ropes. Possession is probably 55-60 vs 40-45. Based on the chances, they'll be p1ssed off they're not ahead

if we don't find a way to get some possession in the middle then its going to be irrelevant anyway. there's no way we'll blag another half like that.

We need to somehow ask more questions of their defence. Since we are having to play a lot of long balls, we might as well move Eriksen totaly to the left, and Chadli and Kane upfront. 2 banks of four, and try and play off the two big men up top.

Townsend has been more effective for me than Chadli but he is on a yellow so I would guess him.

If we can't get our best player (Eriksen) on the ball, we are not going to win. Rooney is running the midfield at the moment. This is the problem with playing him at #10 in these kinds of games where we are struggling for possession.
I would substitute Townsend, unfortunately Lennon is not available, and we are out of right footed RMs. For the first ten I would swap Chadli and Townsend. Then if no improvement from Townsend sub him for Lamela.
And at half time Dembele for Stambouli.

One of the first things the commentator said was that we will get overrun in midfield because we have 2 wide men on each flank whereas Utd only have wing backs, so they have more men in the centre.
Ergo they will obviously overrun us in the centre so I'm not sure what you mean?
But it means our key men that need to make the key difference are our wingers, as they don't have any full backs, so it is down to Chadli and Townsend to make the difference but they haven't done anything really, when surely there should be loads of room to break into against a back 3 containing Paddy P1ssing McNair

I think something tactically needs to change. No space in the midfield to get anything going given United can retreat into a congested back 8 if we ever do get the ball.

I would switch Eriksen to the left, Carrick has had him in his pocket the first half.
There was no transition from Stambouli. He needs to be replaced with Dembele.
Stambouli was a total passenger, no pressure applied on the ball and now with yellow.
