He'd be pretty deadly if he had a footballing brain, but unfortunately that's something he's never going to develop.
 
Right footed Lennon much better on RM than left footed Townsend. He is too left footed. Cut inside is too predictable.
 
if we can blag this until half time we're going to need some sort it out for the second half.

i'd bring on dembele and lamela for townsend and stambouli. we're just going to go under slowly if we cant get a grip in the middle of the park.
 
Agree to bring on Dembele at ht, his holding on to the ball might actually be useful.

Would be tempted to swap Chadli and Townsend for a bit, see if townsend has any joy getting crosses in

Its why i would keep him over Lennon - if you give a decent coach a winger who has reasonable pace, a good dribbler, two footed and strikes the ball cleanly, then you would hope they could develop a useful plaer out of it
 
Chadli not giving enough support defensively either. We just cannot keep the ball in midfield. And therefore we can't get Eriksen or Kane on ball.
