*** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Burnley FC OMT ***

Why the fudge do we get that brick Tony Gale commentating on so many of our games?

According to him it was all Dele's fault for dwelling on the ball. "And again he was a little bit slow in possession, that's why he got caught. Needs to be a little bit sharper. Nothing wrong with the tackle" he said, even as tv replays were showing Lowton going in with studs over the ball.

I could not believe how much Gale kept harping on about what he perceived to be Dele's sloppiness through most of the first half. He's made no secret in the past of his animosity towards Tottenham which makes it all the more baffling how often he gets our gigs.

That biased c@nt should not be allowed to commentate on any of our games. Clearly has an agenda. Yesterday he was constantly slagging off Alli (despite his goal), Dier and Lloris. anybody not knowing the score would have thought we were losing 2-0 or 3-0 to hear him

Sissoko could have been sent off by another ref on another day, however i do think he tried to pull his leg back and meant no harm. But as i say another day another ref he could have gone.
Agreed, it wasn't a malicious challenge with a stamping action, it was a cowardly dangle of the leg whilst hiding his face and squealing, definite yellow

I dont understand why no keep the team formation against hull. No doubt this is more efective than this

I don't think our performance against Burnley was any worse than our performance against Hull. Particularly considering that Burnley are looking quite a lot better than Hull at the moment.

Burnley game: Total shots 30 to 5, on target 9 to 2, off target 12 to 1, blocked shots 9 to 2.
Hull game: Total shots 27 to 10, on target 9 to 5, off target 6 to 1, blocked shots 12 to 4.

Burnley took a chance we gifted them and got the lead. Against Hull we got the lead and dominated from there, but had Hull taken a chance and made it 1-1 it could have been a very different story.

We can learn a lot of things from this win over Burnley. This match shows we cannot get complacent against any teams. Never thought playing Burnley at home can be as tense like this. And it was really tense until the match was over ! We need to be more ruthless and clinical against any teams. We controlled this match but had to come from behind to win.

Credit to Alli and Rose for scoring the crucial goals. Alli took his goal well but he also wasted 1 or 2 other chances. Nice to see Rose scoring the winning goal as he was one of our best players in this match. But wish Kane had scored one of the goals instead. Kane was poor again and didn't look like scoring a goal. Wish we have another striker to rely on to get us the goals.

We dominated the match but don't think our midfield had a good match. Wanyama and Dembele failed to control the midfield as much as we liked. Burnley created too many chances from midfield. Eriksen and Son against didn't look like scoring either. Really annoyed that Eriksen wasted his freekicks yet again. But due credit to Sissoko for assisting the goal for Rose.

We really need to stop being very kind to teams in trouble. Burnley came into this match with a record of scoring only 1 goal in away matches, which was the worst away goal record in all the leagues in England. Yet, embarassingly, we managed to let them score against us ! In fact, they could have score 1 or 2 more if not for some desperate defending by Lloris and company. Credit to Walker for creating the goal for Alli though.

Despite the less-than-convincing performance, it was still encouraging to get our second consecutive league win. Hope we can now go on a long winning run in the league.
