****Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea****

Technically it was supposed to be balanced by the decision to punish players retrospectively for faking injuries, but that's so hard to prove these days that there was little point in that move.

No ref will ever ignore a head injury either given they are technically liable should anything happen such as a permanent head injury.

Mason's injury has cost us Dembele further up...since he's had to sit we have been less effective going forward. Right now I'd take the point, the clean-sheet and move on.

True. And it's important to remember that, firstly, a bash in the head does usually hurt regardless of the actual injury done (having had some myself, I can attest to that :) ), and that, secondly, if the rule stops a thousand counterattacks from gathering momentum but saves one life through urgent action...it's probably worth it.

BT commentators talk utter gonads, Hoddle included. This is a game you don't want to lose, a draw is a perfectly acceptable results given the way Chelsea have come not to play football.

Said before the game that I'd have taken a point given they had two days extra recovery time. We haven't played well, nor played badly, but just look tired. If it stays 0-0, then fair enough
