Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Flew over the ground whilst waiting to land at Heathrow yesterday.
Looks blooming impressive from the sky! It's a new landmark for the capital from above.
My husband asked " what's that oval stadium down there?" I felt stupidly brimming with pride when I said it was our new home.
I hope you were able to take a better photo than this one...

Who cares about tourists?! Enough that fans of other London clubs will have to admire it from on high and then realise it is the home of the mighty Spurs.
Because 'tourist' was the most polite word I could think of to describe your husband, who is married to a die hard Spur, was flying over North London, and asked you "ooh, who owns that massive new stadium being built in north London?"

To be fair, when pilots are coming into Heathrow and need to kill some time you could end up anywhere. Luton. Reading. Looking casually through a gap between the clouds, you have no idea whether it's Tottenham or Croydon down there.

Unfortunately not. I was poised with camera for a second lap, but it didn't happen.
I could however see the North stand and the partially installed seating (or rather, I could see the difference in colour - we weren't flying that low that I could see the seats!).

Ah, get it. Sorry. I'm usually ok with subtlety but that one "flew" over my head.
I don't think he actually knew where we were. Without the stadium I don't think I would have recognised it as North London.
