Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

In regards to the players entrance, here's how the away team should arrive. There's literally an entrance on the plans labelled 'Players entry'. This could be used by the home team as well if they arrive on the same bus, and there's also a player's car park to the right which has a more direct entry. But it's been speculated on as to whether that car park will only have the player's cars in there so they can each leave the stadium in their own cars after arriving together on a bus from Hotspur Way. I don't know enough about the game day routine to comment about that though, I just know what's on the Level 00 (street level) plans. I don't believe there is enough height for a coach to enter under the stadium from Worcester Avenue where the main car park entrance is and get around to the High Road side at that level. There is also a basement car park entry off the High Road south of where my image ends, but this is for the Hotel and not for the stadium.

Look to the right of your arrow. Next to the WC. It clearly states away coach. So we can obviously fit one in there. Rumour debunked. Next

Tottenham Hotspur have extended their agreement with the @FA to use @WembleyStadium until December 15. The @PremierLeague could now force Spurs to remain at the national stadium for the rest of the season. (@MailSport)

So it's not that we would play at Wembley in the second half of the season out of necessity, rather that we could be made to. Haven't read the article itself but sounds like supposition?

I sullied myself to click on the daily heil to read the article but saw nothing factual to support it. It just says the premier league MAY want us to commit an exact date. The moment they gave us dispensation they created a rod for their own backs in terms of flexibility but if the delay goes into next year it could possibly do us more harm than good to move into new surroundings just for the run in? The other scenario would be if Wembley need a former commitment from us but all this seasons proceeds are a bonus to them so not sure why they’d need to be greedy.

As someone posted above, as long as the opt out option remains for Wembley I’d be prepared to accept the full season there, if it means we launch the new ground properly (full spec, full season including pre season). This may or may not have been the plan all along!

I can’t see it going on any longer than December/January at max. We were all but certain to have the Liverpool game there which is next week, surely whatever balls up it was can’t take that long to rectify?

I think it will be next season. As previously discussed, it would be folly to move into a new stadium in the middle of a run in, and Wembley seems to be the sensible solution. Have a grand opening for the first game of the 19/20 season. And the refunds can sit in the clubs coffers reaping in the interest in the meantime

Unfortunately, previous unwelcome & unsupported rumours have come to pass.

Time will tell.

B@stards
To be fair there wasn’t 1 single rumour saying the stadium would be delayed because someone roostered up the safety systems. It was all about the seats, cladding, pitch being months behind schedule, but none of that was true. Or at least, certainly doesn’t seem to be true if you look at the latest stadium pictures.

Clearly, you've never done the books after moving into a new venue with massive new revenue streams. They will want to be in there at the earliest possible opportunity.

Although they may well be making some profits from playing at Wembley (top PL rivals plus Barca and Inter will draw well), Spurs will be raking in huge new sums of money from MegaLane and the PL and its club execs knows how important that concept is.

This won't be the last time a new football stadium is to be built and there is a need to encourage other clubs to take these initiatives without fear of heavy consequences.

On the bright side for now, it's not like there's some sort of hoodoo hanging over Spurs at Wembley anymore.

seems like the cabling rumours that the fire system were true.

Spoke to a mate who is a fire system engineer, he said that all the fire cables that were laid were wrong and the whole stadium needs to be rewired. That's what has caused the delay. Not new news but confirmation.

Struggle to believe a whole stadium would have been wired in the wrong type of cable and it not have been picked up on until a month before opening

You’d have thought so. But anything that takes this long to trace and to set out the timeline for a fix is going to be a pretty major rooster-up. The cabling story is as plausible as anyhing else.

It’s the only story, everything else is just pure BS. It’s basically a Rafa fact!

Upside is if done properly we should get a free stadium because the should be so many penalty clauses for the contractors.

Makes you wonder what they do in their weekly meetings and what the finishing foreman is up to. With every stage of the job getting signed off it is pretty massive sabotage or someone has right royally fudged up.

Similar thing happened here at a big shopping mall. All the fire sprinklers where the wrong type, and all the pipes and sprinklers had to be changed. This was discovered a week before opening. Was delayed for months, because most of the pipes where embedded in concrete. Stuff like that is more common than you would think. Sometimes the equipment specified in plans can't be obtained, so they switch to a different brand or slightly different type, and then it turns out that it does not meet the requirements set. Usually that is not a major issue, but with safety systems, it must meet minimum specifications.

It just needs to me the ACOP and Guidelines plays any BS standards depending what it is

From what I can gather talking to suppliers who know somethings going on it’s the data cabling between the system that isn’t communicating correctly with the head end (the machine that controls everything)

If that’s true that’s horrendous as that’s basics in that industry

On the comment of penalties if this work has been done by someone like Schneider or Honeywell gent their contract will have significant caps on liabilities. I deal with these companies all the time and their a pain as they get specified, sell cheap adn rake it in on service through closed protocol systems that no one else can do
