White Hart Lane will be formally handed over to our construction partner at 07:00 on Monday 15th May. There will then be a period of between 48-72hrs wherein various services are terminated and decommissioned. During this period, demolition plant will arrive and assemble and the site will be secured by perimeter hoarding. The demolition itself in principle is phased, with initial focus on the existing North Stand. However, it is recognised that the exact approach may change according to advice received from the demolition contractor.
It is fair to say that next week will be a very emotional day for all and the club is expecting a large turn-out both in and around the stadium. A party atmosphere will be encouraged and hosts and club staff will be on hand to help and assist where necessary. Detailed celebrations are still being finalised however they will extend late into the evening and more precise arrangements will be communicated through usual channels later this week.
See you all there!
Love the Lane but quite excited to see it come down now so that the rest of WHLv2 can go up!
I love the Lane as well. But lets be clear. All the stands have changed in the lasy 35 years, two not for the better. So its nostalgia passed a long time ago. The New stadium looks amazing. It seems levy has not dropped on any detail. They have gone over every little piece to get that stadium right. They have listened to the fans, they have worried about the sound, they have planned other revenue cat videos on youtube.
Its going to be amazing.
You just know Levy's wardrobe looks like this And woe betide anybody who fvcks with it
Totally agree, what i remember is standing up on the Shelf numerous times and standing behind the goal when Tony Parks made that save to win us the UEFA Cup in '84,amazing times, not in recent years with sitting down and having a plastic seat embedded into your knee for 95 minutes, thank ghod i'll have some room to move about being 6ft+.....but still still a tear when i be watching staduim cam over the next 6 weeks as it disappears.I love the Lane as well. Won't please the media or fit the narrative to read Levy's line about stadium issues having no bearing on transfer dealings
