Yeah, noticed the school too. Its for the box owners, so they have to leave the cars and venture into the meer mortals on a current match day.
No doubt they will all be on top of the Supermarket whilst using there own designated walkway to there own boxes once completion of the stadium.

I have a friend working on the training ground in lancing, soon to be the home of brighton and hove albion. I am trying to wrangle the contract to fit the locks for the place. If i get it i shall ask poyet if he fancies coming back to spurs one day.

• Joint bid by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Middlesex University and other partners to establish a University Technical College approved by Department for Education and Baker Dearing Trust
• UTC would represent another important development in the sport-led regeneration of Tottenham
• Creating new educational opportunities for 14-18 years old delivering an integrated academic and technical curriculum
The Club is delighted to announce that its bid for a new University Technical College (UTC) for Tottenham has today (Thursday, March 28) been approved by the Department for Education and the Baker Dearing Trust.
The Club’s bid is a joint application with Middlesex University and would see the establishment of a brand new high quality, full-time education alternative for 14-18 year olds across North London, offering a unique specialism of ‘The Technology of Science, Sport and Health’ - chosen to fit with the predicted future employment and skills needs of the area and the unique partnership with a Premier League football club.
Daniel Levy, Chairman, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club said: “Tottenham is an area in desperate need of regeneration and, as one of its main employers, we recognise the unique role we have in this community to effect change. We are delighted that our joint bid to create a UTC in Tottenham has been successful.
“The Tottenham UTC would deliver significant benefits for young people across North London by providing a high quality, targeted education that would equip them with key technical skills and enable them to take up jobs in the future.
“Delivering a curriculum around sport, science and health, both our Club and our Foundation would be involved in it, making it a truly unique and compelling educational facility.”
Melvyn Keen, Deputy Chief Executive, Middlesex University said: “There are many exciting career opportunities in science, health and sport and these industries are hungry for skilled staff and ambitious graduates. We’re delighted to sponsor a project that will harness the talent of young people in North London, and we look forward to working with our Tottenham UTC partners to create some really exciting opportunities.”
Planning around the delivery of the UTC will now begin and will include a consultation phase with parents and businesses.
The Tottenham UTC would combine the specialist area of technical study alongside the core curriculum required for 14-18 year olds and will do so by integrating the technical and academic education with practical work being valued as highly as academic study.
As well as Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Middlesex University, the new institution would also be supported by Festo UK, National Instruments, Fusion Lifestyle, and Mindsets UK.

great regeneration initiative. No easy thing getting a University on board but a lot of benefits in terms of lifting the profile/livability/economy of the surrounding area.

Isn't there a school associated with the Brook House site? Although I think that involved a partnership with Highgate School, so you could be right this is to use space in the northern NDP site.

Not saying you are wrong to wonder if it's part of the NDP, it could be, but generally the initiative for UTC's is to rejuvenate existing buildings, and the budget allowed for them usually reflects this.

I'm guessing, but if this is not the Brook House school, I would imagine most of the classes would be at a Middlesex University site, with some specific classes using the NPD facilities. For Sports Science, the training centre might be a place for some instruction.

Always thought why don't Spurs set up a school for the academy people to learn at and pay for it all so they get a top class education as well as their football coaching? Would cost a bit but surely be worth it.
Also whats the news on the stadium - thought construction was meant to start this summer. Looks unlikely now.

Martin Chivers mentioned in passing on Talkbrick the other night that the project has been delayed. For a moment I half-wondered, given his quasi-ambassadorial role with the club, whether he's heard some new itk, but then assumed he's most likely referring to the delay in securing naming rights.

I realise there is a great deal of work etc being done with significant and noticeable progress made in and around the area but im just gonna put it out there

I can't see one year in the champions league without the new stadium name determining how much we would get for naming rights.

I read somewhere the other day that the naming rights have been agreed, but can't be announced till summer 2015, i.e. one year before the stadium opens, because of the exclusivity deals with existing sponsors.
