Three In And Three Out, Who Will It Be?

....and has admitted that he doesn't like shooting

He was playing forward against Saudi Sportswashing Machine for about 30 mins or so and didn't take on too many shots, if any, but did hold the ball superbly and was a good fulcrum for those around him. It's not the worst idea in the world as the ball sticks with him like no other player we have. I also remember one outrageous piece of skill that flummoxed two Saudi Sportswashing Machine boys. Right from the Zidane handbook.

Not ignoring what he brings to the team, just saying that he's a player who has admitted to not like shooting and that right now what we really want is a striker who will score goals. If Kane is at #9 then fine, but if we are talking about him leading the line, then I disagree.

In Tyrone Mings, Teddy Bishop 14m double deal and loan back for the season, Dele Alli 10m loan back for rest of season.

Out: Paulinho loan to Italy, Chiriches loan to Italy, Naughton 4m to Swansea.

Yedlin is obviously coming in. I suspect Naughton might leave, either on loan or transfer. I think the club will do everything they can to shift Kaboul, BAE and Capoue if the rumours are to be believed. Chiriches, Paulinho, Dembele are all probably available also.

I think who we bring in will depend a lot on who we shift.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rodriguez come in as i'm pretty sure if he hasn't signed the contract on the table from Saints that this is the last transfer window they could get any money for him? I'm pretty sure Poch would love Moreno too.

Being an avid reader of this site I've compiled a list from fair minded and expert analysis on this site of our rubbish players we should be getting rid of:

Walker, Naughton, Kaboul, Fazio, Chiriches, Rose
Dembele, Lamela, Capoue, Stromboli, Lennon, Townsend, Chadli
Adebayor, Soldado

There are question marks against Kane and Bentaleb so we should be looking to shift 15-17 players in the next two windows and getting an other 10-12 in.

Can't see that being much of a problem. I'll have to ask my grandson who to bring in as he's great at the Football Manager game.

Good GHod, all that effort and you go and forget to include Paulinho. =;

Based on last few games

We want out -> Capoue/Kaboul/Ade/BAE
Willing to shift -> Paulinho/Townsend/Naughton (think selling Naughton would be a mistake personally)

In -> I don't see any of the Jay/MS/Bony/Benteke signings ... likely 2 under the radar types +Yedlin

I think Naughton is more on the "we want out" pile, rather than "willing to shift". Before getting Yedlin in he's still seemingly 3rd choice right back and at best 3rd choice left back. Both Dier and Vlad have been preferred to him at various times this season. If Yedlin is ahead of him in the pecking order he could be 4th choice by the time the window closes. He'll command a nice fee and he'll do well for a PL team.

Wouldn't mind a couple of under the radar signings. Ben Davies has been good, as has Fazio, Stambouli is doing alright, Vorm is clearly a very solid backup, Dier is talented. Only worry is that our under the radar signings have needed time to settle in, if we're not really seeing the benefit until April it won't do our chances that much good this season. But "the Fazio of strikers" is still more use to us than Adebayor currently is.

Would absolutely love Schneiderlin and Benteke. Probably so unrealistic but we should just do what we can. Would prioritise Schneiderlin though.

Don't wont any one in. and don't wont to sell any one. Lets just sit tight and see what the rest of the season brings. Let the Mitchall guy do his analyzing thing to see where we need to spend and where we can promote.

Really?

- Paulinho/Capoue/Kaboul/Ade all look highly unlikely to do more than a bit part appearance here or there for us ever again. Probably 20-25M worth of income +several million in wages, really wouldn't see why we wouldn't get rid of all if the offers were there
- We badly need another forward option, plus someone with pace (could be 1 player)
- The mood of club/fans has improved recently, but still very tentative, a decent signing could provide both an on field boost as well as a lift in general to the mood.

If we really make no move in January, then I truly fear we have learned nothing from the last 7 years and 3 managers.

But can we afford to sign some one in January? some one proven that will hit the ground running? or are we just going to spunk some more money at the wall.

I agree with your point's but i just think we can wait another 5 months for that to all happen.

There is a very large Levy-associated danger with waiting and assuming action will occur later on, but that's beside the point: if something's possible in January, we should try and make it happen in January.

Out: Naughton, Ekotto, Kaboul, Chiriches, Capoue, Townsend, Paulinho, Ade

In: Yedlin, CB (Moreno), CM (Schneiderlin), Winger (Rodriguez), Striker (Bony)

I think you will be very disappointed come the end of January. Schneiderlin and Bony are slowly moving out of our League in wages and fees in January any way.
