Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Interesting because from what I was told the future of the ground and its continued success which in turn reflects on more money into the club is that they need the hotel to feed into other revenues (the meeting and events needs a hotel to support it, over nights before games, maor representation on global events like concerts/NFL etc.

We will see I suppose
I think the hotel has received a lot of publicity that is OTT, it's only planned to have a 180 rooms and the stadium is doing very nicely so far with concerts and NFL and no hotel.
Yes it would be convenient for a few but if your a top exec you get your chauffeur to drive you to and from the stadium to one of the plethora of 5 star hotels in central London.
Anyway defintely on hold and very doubtful to be completed for the Euros , just goes to show don't listen to rumour or twitnews , for more reliable info ask your ST rep or member rep to ask at FAB meetings .

Or those that work there is seems.

Or the press release on the residential plans changing

The news the FAB get is only as reliable as those that tell them, if they are selling the club and this is to clean up the sale (ala ousting Levy) then I suspect the hotel will eventually come back on board

I reckon the bigger plan in the pipeline is to build an arena venue, like City's, on the school playing field on Worcester Avenue.

The hotel being operational for hosting Euro 2028 is mentioned in the most recent planning application: https://londonboroughofharingey.my....?c__r=Arcus_BE_Public_Register&tabset-3892f=3
That's the planning application for using the Goods Yard as a temporary Events carpark (including for Euro 2028) and as a construction storage site. It mentions it will help with delivering the hotel in time for Euro 2028 (along with other development projects), but that doesn't mean the hotel is a requirement for hosting Euro 2028.

Alot of that on his own doing and choice, there were 100% elements he didn't want to have to deal with or be responsible for despite having final says. Thats not a defence of him BTW, but everyone gets tired and Spurs is a monster now, its one of the largest if not the largest football operation in the world.

PS the Hotel is still going ahead, the owners are not stupid enough commercially to not see through that project considering the need for it to activate the clubs full commercial potential

I’ll stick with believing Lee McQueen, given he got everything else right. 😉

Few ITK bods claiming he's gone

So a new 5 year deal announced ?

Probably the same ones who said Slot had been sacked immediately after yesterday’s game.

All building work on the hotel has been shelved indefinitely.

Building was due to have started already, I know a subcontractor who had one of the largest packages.

BUT WE MUST HAVE IT FOR EURO 2008! 😃

Interesting because not long ago they announced a plan for the residential tower. Was at a tradeshow where the Spurs meeting and events team were also promoting the hotel.

Will do some digging

Unlike anyone at the site… 😃

Any news will come through the club, below is what was said in the last statement in March 2025, until they find outside backing I doubt we will see either the hotel or residental towers.

The Club construction spend on the planned Hotel next to the stadium in the financial period was circa £3m. The Hotel will need to be part of a significantly larger development with other external stakeholders. This is a long-term project which would be non recourse to the Club and be part of the redevelopment of High Road West as well as other sites.

Which is why I think the whole "we are not for sale" was rubbish, I also think that plays into Levy being ousted because its a much easier transaction to make if he is not around

We have done it for ages now, bad money on bad money spent on doubling down on players who are but can't make the next level. We did for year at RB, massive money relative to their ability on Aurier, Royal, then trying cheaper with the Wolves fella, Porro for 50m who everyone knows is a WB not a RB, people on here convinced Spence is ample LB cover etc. Son to Tel and Odobert making him up in the average when neither have had a season of regular G/A is asking too much of any manager, thats not a defence of Frank thats just a reality, its like a sh1t version of Moneyball but where the maths and stats don't make sense.

We are stock piling CM's without any real rhyme of reason for it, all these 30/40/50m on players just to aimlessly seem to throw darts at a board ontop of the young lads who we bring in who now have less of a route or development path.

Richy and Solanke for a combined 120m or so, based on Solanke having one good goalscoring season, to replace the greatest goal scorer still playing in the world, I mean he is hard to replace but my GHod you at least try. We signed Vicario as the cheaper alternative to Raya and it shows, Kinsky is asking too much of as seen last season, he just appears a younger version

I think people are in all sorts of delusion about this squad, thats not a defence of Frank, it should be better than he is doing, but I am not having it that they are the levels some make out. The way some talk about tactics and influence on making them better, without any history of them even being that good is like me claiming a good manager would have made Jason Dozzell a 25 goal a year striker

Its a sad view maybe, but there isn't one player in the side that has the quality, under this or the last manager where I think "I will take a punt and pay to watch Spurs today" Thats not being OTT, just that if anyone in this side got sold tomorrow be it MVDV, Romero etc, I wouldn't lose sleep.

Such a poignant post for me. I've talked about the quality over quantity model for years. I swear we are buying up to twice the amount of players that the successful clubs are buying to improve themselves. It is just one big numbers game with recruitment with Spurs. Spray and pray.

Perhaps another reality is that the biggest players won't join us anyway.
