The youth players/on-loan thread 2014-2015

He was involved in the build up to their goal though, playing a little reverse ball into the guy wo got the assist. Was a very nice goal in fact. I still think he will struggle to make it with us though, but I do also think that there are more senior players at Brentford demanding the ball and Pritchard just stays on the periphery.

Onomah and Azzaoui with goals and involvements going by the twitter feed.

Seems we want to have a go at the tournament, Carter-Vickers and Onomah are regulars for the u21 team now aren't they?
 
Seems two of his goals was him running half the pitch with the ball before scoring.
 
I guess this is one way Baldini is earning his pay - Azzaoui was one of his 3 academy singings from last the summer (Yahaya and Lazar being the other two)

Yahaya we've been having to keep under wraps as he's not 16 yet, so can't sign a pro contract. He's supposed to be one of the most highly rated young players in the world though. I'm not sure if Lazar is 16 yet either actually, so the same could apply there too.

Both will become 1st years in the academy next season.

Yahaya is already 16. The problem is that we will not be able to get a work permit for him until he is 18.
You are right that Lazar is not 16 yet however. Not sure how things will work for him however - as a Romanian national I assume he will not require a work permit due to being an EU national?

Yeah Lazar won't need a work permit now Romania are fully EU

I'm pretty sure there was a story this week that Yahaya was having problems going with our U18s to a tournament in Malaysia because he was still a minor or something?

He scored a good hat-trick and looks to have something about him. But we probably have even better than him in the youth set up. And English.

Nevertheless, so far for all of them to go before we can be sure that they'll make it.

Had to go back to Nigeria to get his travel papers because he's a minor was what I read (somewhere).
