The Official 2022/23 Premier League Thread

Eric Ten Hag has done a very good job at Utd, but he hasn't exactly done it on a shoe string. Unfortunately for Potter, that Ten Hag has turned round Utd so quickly is probably going to show him up even more..

Apart from chelsea (and city hidden payments) utd are the most expensive squad assembled aren't they?

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have grassed themselves up about their Saudi involvement after they were granted ownership pleading no involvement. Interesting

There are no rules about a state owning a football club. So not sure what they can do.
It was more that they were passed off as owners on the basis that they were not state owned by Saudi Arabia. That was the condition of ownership

That was just said to keep amnesty etc... off their backs. The real reason it was held up was because saudi in their argument with qatar, saudi had allowed piracy of bein sports which had the rights for prem games in the middle east. Saudi agreed to shut them down in order for the Saudi Sportswashing Machine deal to go through.

Everyone and their knew the pfi were linked to the state. It's a sovereign wealth fund.

The technicalities don't matter though in any case because the deal was ratified on certain criteria, by the recent admission those conditions have been seemingly proven to be not met

They can't stop a state owning a club but they can stop individuals which was also another they claimed bo involvement as there was huge doubt they crown prince would pass any fit and proper test

We all knew it was a state deal, didn't stop all and sundry denying it at the time too either

The PL won't do anything, they could on the basis of the breach, but they won't

Hope City batter Saudi Sportswashing Machine. City should be relegated but as that hasn’t happened yet then the least they can do is take points off of one of our rivals for top 4.

I hate that football is all about money and commercialism but to cry about it is to cry about the toxicity of social media and all those tears wouldn’t bring change so have to live with it.

Poocastle losing and their players seem to be dropping like flies
No doubt Howe will still get manager of the season for improving them on a shoestring (yes I'm being sarcastic)
