So you still lose a passenger because you have to have one follow him around the pitch to take a lay off.

He's not terrible, but he's a million miles away from good enough to play as a deep lying playmaker.

So that means you need to have your playmaker further up the pitch (where they're less able to dictate play) or you push Kante up where he's clearly less effective.

He was pretty effective in that position when he won the player of the season. Jog on.
