The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

Swansea no 5 is one of the worst defenders I've seen.

Edit: and now the gobbrick missed a glorious chance

How did they miss that free chance to equalise. Swans fluffed their lines with poor defending and not taking their chances. Klop out of jail free.

I think the gulf between the top teams and the mid table teams returns to being quite large this season. Last season teams right the way down would be competitive but there are so many bad ones. Liverpool didn't have to any good but Swansea were just awful. Sunderland are terrible. West Ham are a joke.

Happily we are one of the top teams and I expect us to pick off a lot of these poor ones with relative ease.

Yet the Swans were close to an upset. One fluffed clearance and a cheap pen for pool, and one 4 yards from goal shot screwed wide. So easily have been a draw.

Also, Tony Gale or the other guy (not sure who's who) is an utter knob. My brain is dying from his tactical inputs.

Boro's defending so bad at the moment. Will be a miracle if they get out of this. No composure at all.

Boro held out and wham are poor - similar level to boro. Shame pool didn't draw too. But all about us tomorrow. Can we win?
