The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

prefer the dance to the poxy pointing at the sky crap.

Oh, I know. Jeez...

I get that he's pointing to heaven, presumably he's Christian or praying for a lost loved one but it's such an affectation, so studied. LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME.

I don't point to the sky every time I close a deal at work. Maybe I should. Might write my name in black marker across the back of my shirt too.

Their six home games so far have all been against bottom-9 sides.

Where as we've played the giants of European football.

You could also mention they have picked up 4 points from Anfield and Old Trafford. Different spin perhaps?

Our fixture list has been a piece of ****s.

EDIT: Remind me how the respective sides got on at home against Hull?

Just thinking from the perspective that we're not going to finish above Arsenal, but look to have a fight on our hands with Southampton.

I realise that, but I'm never going to want anything other than an Arsenal defeat. In any case I don't think Southampton will maintain the challenge, at some point they'll get a few injuries and drop away. They just don't have the squad to keep it up when a few are missing.

2/3 of their points have come in home games against Crystal Palace, Fulham, Sunderland, Hull, West Ham and Swansea. They're not going to be anywhere near us come the end of the season.

you could say that but then if Chelsea had Lukaku and not Everton, would it be hard for rivals to pick up points against them? Its all ifs and buts really. Chelsea like you say are well within their rights. I dont really think the rules will change either, is anyone else talking about this other than disgruntled spurs fans?

Romelu Lukaku loan to Everton may have been attempt to hurt Chelsea title rivals, suggests Steve Bruce - Premier League - Football - The Independent

...Bruce insists Mourinho might have spotted a way to improve his side's title prospects in a less conventional way.

"He's a hell of a loan signing on deadline day, someone like Lukaku. I saw him playing for Belgium in midweek and he's going to be one hell of a player," said Bruce.

"Maybe the reason why he's gone there is Jose has thought 'maybe Everton can go and get as few points off the big boys with him in their team'.

"That would be pretty shrewd really and I think they can.

Watching Saudi Sportswashing Machine v Norwich next, looking forward to seeing Redmond for Norwich.
Norwich have some key players out, going to be really difficult for them to get anything from this.

OK. Thanks for putting that one to bed. Where's the evidence were better than them? Our fixture list has also been easy, and yet they are above us in the league.

I find it astonishing how people caqn write other teams off, completely ignoring the disgusting filth we've been serving up this season, not to mention home defeats against Saudi Sportswashing Machine and West Ham (where they absolutely raped us)!!!!

So what your saying is that they're doing the business at home, whilst winning or getting points at grounds like Liverpool, Man U, West Brom.

Sounds pretty decent to me to be honest.

Who have we played that have been so much harder than them?

I find it astonishing that people can claim to be Spurs fans, yet see absolutely nothing positive about the team or the club.

Who doesn't see anything positive in the club? or the team for that matter?

I'm basing what I say on what I've seen this season. What I've seen is a Southampton who have looked more convincing than us having played a similar set of fixtures.

I'm not saying they have more potential than us in their side, just that they've looked more convincing, and the evidence (the games played so far) suggests there might not be much between the sides this year.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine very entertaining team. 4-4-2 like Liverpool and United and City. And Everton. Southampton?

when we were linked to Loic Remy i remember loads of people would come on here and say he was not good enough to play for Spurs. Funny that considering he has now scored 8 league goals this season and our whole team has scored 9

Feck last seconds NZ score and need to convert to win What an entertaining day.
Whata shame

So close, that pen on the 4th tackle was the killing blow. Looked like we were just going to hang on, but getting the extra 6 tackles was massive.
Small margins though Benny Westwood 2 yards short of the line, and if Ryan Hall could have just held onto to that interception he would have won the game
