The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

We have beaten Brentford midweek under him (they were not knackered than us) and West Ham in the league cup. His record kid week is bad
Weekend games we have lost twice… Chelsea away and wolves the other weekend
What are you actually trying to say? Do you ever read your own posts again after you have posted them? Might be a good idea, so you can correct them into something that is actually readable and makes sense ;)

It’s quite clear to be honest even with auto correct errors
We have beaten Brentford mid week - they were not knackered more than us
His record mid week is bad
It’s horrendous for a top manager
We have lost twice at weekends

There you go! Why didn't you just write that first time? ;)

Conte just needs to learn to rotate more. During those 4 games in ten days for example, he constantly played several players where the alternative option would have been more than capable, such us sessegnon and reguilon at lwb.

Sure our squad is not the best but if everyone is fit for the busy schedule we have after everton - saturday, wednesday, sunday - then we need to see rotation where we can, such as wing backs, central midfield, wide forwards.

Fortunately during that up coming run mentioned above, there is three days between the games and not two days, which makes a big difference. So Kane can hopefully stay on top of his game throughout.

Peter Drury mentioned during the Manc derby that ManU's game after us is their very demanding second leg vs. Atletico. We might see them rest a few key players.

Edit: Arsenal are already a point up with three games in hand and looking likely to take a few more points from them. We also have three in hand and only five points back. United have to be realistic that fourth has gone. Europe is where their best shot at achievement still lies.

I don't see that Utd have a realistic shot at winning the CL. More likely that they'd finish 4th IMO

Yes, but you'd hope it picks up now that we just have league games left.

I'm not saying we'll get 4th - I'd put it around perhaps 20%-25% chance - but its not impossible

Perfectly realistic that none of Man U, Arse and West Ham win this weekend therefore a victory on Monday v Everton and the table looks a lot better

Our remaining games v Man U, Arse and West Ham look huge

Well, only one did and the worst option for us chasing fourth.

This busy stretch - Everton, ManU, Brighton, WH in 13 days - is crucial. After that, the final eight games are all spaced a week apart, with the Arsenal game still to be sorted. Very manageable set of games with Liverpool the only opponent in the top half of the table. Sadly, Arsenal have a similarly manageable sked.

Certainly a good shot for us to make 5th or 6th. Go on a run, beat Arsenal and hope they drop points and 4th isn't out of the question. But not a likely situation right now.

The Manc derby and they don't dress Ronaldo, Varane, Cavani, Shaw. I heard Rangnick's excuses and, like Roy Keane, I'm dubious. They can see the table. They know they're not getting top four. They're gearing up to beat Atletico.

Its a cup though, even we reached the final against a back drop of relatively poor domestic form. Also they seem to have immense trouble at home to park the bus sides, which needs to be your bread and butter to get top 4.

Just seen that wham have the biggest game in their history at home against Sevilla, on the Thursday before we play them at home on the Sunday.

We play Brighton away the day before on the Wednesday.

This didn't work out so well last time however, when we lost at home to Soton on Wednesday, Wolves lost at home on Thursday and then we lost at home to Wolves on the Sunday.

However a certain Frenchman between the sticks was largely responsible for that and in doing so basically ending our CL chances.

Could still be a slight sniff though if we can beat Everton and Man Utd, and the goons lost at home to Leicester.

Very unlikely but at least Vardy is back now.

We play the day before Arsenal at the weekend - if we can pull a result out of the bag then that's us level on points as they go in to their game v Leicester - could cause a bit of nerves and a slip up...

Fair point. 5 days before the Utd game is a good enough break too. Arsenal have a tough April as well
