The Goon Thread

Arteta: “I said to Havertz: things are hard at the beginning. When I met my wife, at the beginning it was hard to conquer her. It was hard, I had to try and message her, and go, and go”. ⚪️ #AFC

“And at the end when she says ‘yes, we can be together…’ it’s beautiful”.

Some beautiful words there from Lego man :rolleyes:

On a par with most of the brick he came out with in their All Or Nothing documentary.

The Spanish David Brent.

Honestly he is talking like he thinks he is a wise winning manager who can say obscure brick like that and come across as some sort of great philosopher ... pipe up lad

Getting serious Brendon Rogers vibes from Arteta now, the similarities are there in the way they talk and both managed to stumble to second in the league when not winning it seemed virtually impossible!

He's got Rogers attitude while trying to be a B version of City (City 4 years ago)

Watched them yesterday and I really don't get how the media doesn't see/comment
- Bunch of not good enough City/Chelsea players
- Same too much possession, fanny out wide in final third (worse part of Pep's teams about 3-4 years ago) with no end product
- Ripped open by a couple of Eriksen passes with ease

Decent team but not elite level despite being assembled for elite costs
