Utterly stupid. Watch a replay and still get the wrong decision - unless Salah was suddenly going to grow to be about 4 metres tall, he was never going to get on to the end of that

Proximity to the ball is irrelevant.

If the ball is in play and there’s a foul anywhere on the pitch then the fk / pen should be given.

Whether it was a foul on Salah is another question.

He attempted to play the ball whilst in an offside position which is an offense in itself. Add to the fact he’s in front of the keeper which just compounds it. It’s offside.

You really think Barry tried to play it? I just thought he was moving in the direction of the ball (ie towards the far post) rather than genuinely trying to play it
