The European Football Championship

Yeah theres a collective blindness to a fairly obvious truth. At 30 years old and years and years of hard running, he just doesn't have that physicality any more. He has already adjusted his game, so England (and the fans) need to take that into account or play someone else.

Yeah you’ve got to take that into account. Having said that, I’d like him to try and impose himself more in the big games. I know he’s got a goal today but I’ve said for years even when he was at Spurs that he doesn’t turn up in the real crunch do or die games unless it’s a penalty.

Bellingham was the best player in Spain this season. Foden won player of the year. Saka is quality albeit not world class.
System based results and performances, if you watched Bellingham at Madrid he was a bit lampard esque. He scored a lot but he wasn't bossing games in midfield with his passing game. So if you want that Bellingham, then you need to play him in the manner Madrid did.

Bellingham isn't and never will be a #10. He's in no way creative for other players in the way you need to be to play that role. People look at his Real stats and attach qualities to him just based on that.

He's an top tier #8. The irony being that now Mbappe has signed he'll won't play high for Real anymore, he'll be in a midfield 3. Once Real have done it, England will start playing him deeper most likely.

Why does Southgate not want any width on the left?????? You can see how much of the ball Saka is seeing on the right, Just think how much more space he'd have if we could stretch the play

Teams let Saka have space, because he so rarely does anything with it.

Exactly. Thing with Southgate is that hes a trend follower, just that he gets stuck following trends from a decade earlier. Hes the opposite of a trendsetter.
