Nothing wrong with people enjoying being single, but it's sad that people treat it as a competitor as to how many people they can sleep with.

More to the point, if you're constantly in a situation to rack up scores then does it mean your nor very good at holding down a relationship? Put simply, male or female, if nobody is interested in seeing past the facade we put up then we may have got short term gratification but we've done a poor job of selling ourself as a person.

There are a great deal of cliches about but I dont see how any of them are relevant here.

Leopards dont change their spots? When was the last fudging time you heard about Danielle in the papers? All this has come from a **** who has no career and has been rejected by Danielle - hence his anger.

Has to live with her past? Dont make me laugh. We all have had things in our lives we are not proud to admit and are ashamed to admit but everyone gets given an opportunity to change to learn from their past and it seems that she is. Just some ****s cant let it go.

I think it actually says alot about JOH that he married her cos he loves her and doesnt care about the past or accepts whats happened has happened and she is a changed woman. It says more about JOH than any of the ****s who choose to hold her past against her EVEN THOUGH THEY DONT fudgeIN KNOW HER.

At University girls were worse than guys - I still know a lot of my mates from University and I can definitely say hand on heart that every one of us has changed especially the girls. Some are married, some are career orientated, some are just enjoying life and some have kids. All mature and would never act like how they acted at university. So leopards dont change their spots? err yes they do.

However unfortunately ****s are still ****s and will always be ****s i.e. knight = ****

Good opening post Gordinho and this is an interesting discussion to have (too bad either Steff or Milo will more then likely lock it after a while).

I think as long as we have an adult conversation there's no reason why it shouldn't run until it dies through boredom rather than being locked.

My thoughts are directly opposite to what you posted in the Leon Whassisface thread though, in short I think we expect (or hope) too much of women especially when you take into account the way we live our lives. I think the big thing for you is the knowledge, take away the knowledge and all we have is a modern bird who's a bit of a sort. Really, when we meet a girl it should be Day 1 but when she's lived her life in the meeja that sort of thing is taken away I guess.

So while she may well not be the person portrayed when she was younger and thicker she's reaping the whirlwind.

Look mate - values are not always there. Values, morals, ethics are all things that develop over time through learning. For example I want a woman who is honest, any woman who isnt can fudge off. Why? because I am honest and why am I honest? because I have been hurt by lies in the past. That doesnt mean I have never lied but it means that I have learnt from that.

Same thing. We were all young once, you can get caught up in so much brick that life is moving faster than you think and its only when the brick hits the fan that you pause and think and THEN you change and have your value and morals and ethics.

Theyre not low standards. its called understanding the past is the past BUT you wont tolerate any of her brick or her past being relived whilst she is with you. That is stamping your authority so to speak not dismissing her because she may have stolen an apple ten years ago but you dont approve of stealing.
