flimflam.

You would get the same from any winning team in a great sporting rivalry. Spurs supporters (you included I hope) would be the same, if not worse, if we beat the Gooners in a final etc.

Sadly you're right, markysimmo is obviously both.

Jimmy Anderson also enjoys it, a bit too much if you ask me

Though he's got a long way to go before his celebration is as awesome as Brett Lee

Marky, the chip on your shoulder is obstructing your view. I'm taking the tinkle out of Brett Lee - he's a tosser.

Do they speak English in England? I said Jimmy Anderson enjoys it too much because his celebrations are over the top, but not as over the top as Brett Lee's were.

Shall I draw a diagram next time?

Why are they over the top, he took the final wicket to win one of the most exciting test matches of all time, im sure had you have won your players wouldnt have rushed onto the pitch, no of course not..

Just an observation Marky, no need to take it personally. It's for every wicket, not just the important ones. Bowlers like Anderson should be knocking off the tail like it ain't no thang, not doing Brett Lee impersonations when knocking off Peter Siddle.

Being born overseas doesn't stop you being that nationality. I don't quite see what point your post is making.

I was born overseas, and i am English.

Its the ashes

not that I agree with that, but shouldn't that mean Australia shouldn't have celebrated a single cricketing moment in the 90's

actually taking it further, Anderson (and most of the squad) is around the same age as me, we've grown up being terrified of Australia, he's not bowling Siddle, when he's steaming in its Ponting/Border/Waugh he's seeing, we're not facing down Siddle or Starc, we're still batting against Hughes and McGrath

Mickey Arthur has alleged Cricket Australia were guilty of racial discrimination by dismissing him as national team coach.

Arthur is suing Australia's governing body for £2.4m, claiming that he was sacked because he was South African and "didn't understand the Australian way."

And Arthur - replaced by Darren Lehmann as coach shortly before the Ashes - also claims that Australia captain Michael Clarke stated that all-rounder Shane Watson's presence in the dressing room is "a cancer."

The allegations came just two days before skipper Clarke and Watson - his former vice-captain - go into battle together in the second Ashes Test at Lord's.

Arthur was dismissed as coach last month, and court papers submitted as part of his action against CA reportedly state that there was "major tension" between Clarke and Watson, according to Seven News.

Arthur is also reported to have claimed that it was Watson who tipped off management about the incident in a Birmingham pub in which David Warner punched England batsman Joe Root.

A Cricket Australia spokesman, asked to comment on the allegations, said: "Cricket Australia is confident in its position regarding legal matters with Mickey Arthur and is sure it will get resolved in an appropriate manner."

Brad Haddin, who replaced Watson as vice-captain, insists the squad is united.

"I think everyone was surprised (by Arthur's sacking) but there's no point talking about it anymore. We've gone past all this, we're moving forward with the campaign," he said.

"We're all pretty excited to be in an Ashes campaign. Darren's done a wonderful job, like all our staff and players.

"All the other stuff that we can talk about is white noise so it's not something that has affected the side at all.

"I'm not going to get into what ifs and who was better than this and who was wasn't as good as this; our job is to just get on with this campaign."

Xmas day sorted for me and my pal

Australia 2013/14 > Melbourne - Barmy Army Christmas Day Lunch at The Palladium Crown Casino

We are thrilled to announce that we are going back to the Palladium at the Crown Casino in Melbourne for our Barmy Army Lunch on Christmas Day.

We had a fantastic day there in 2010 and it was widely regarded as one of the best events that we have ever organised, the setting is one of the finest in Australia and it hosts many of their most glittering awards ceremonies and gala dinners including The Logies, for the Best Australian Actor, The Brownlow Medal for the best player in the AFL and the Allan Border Medal for the Outstanding Australian Cricketer of the Year.

The Function starts at midday with a Pre Event Drinks reception, followed by a 2 course set lunch of roast turkey and vegetables followed by a traditional plum pudding and custard dessert and coffee and most importantly includes 3.5 hours of unlimited drinks (yes unlimited drinks) including Crown Reserve Red and White Wines, Crown Reserve Sparkling, Pure Blonde and Cascade Premium Light beers whilst the children get unlimited soft drinks within the package.

This will no doubt guarantee that our unique brand of traditional and Barmy Army Christmas Carols, led by Bill the Trumpet and many of our iconic singers will ensure that there's a brilliant party atmosphere to accompany a great meal with first class waitress service in what is without doubt Melbourne's finest function room.

Unfortunately we won't be sharing the function rooms at Crown with the Australian team and their families this time around, we can only assume that they didn't enjoy the background music to their Christmas Lunch provided by the 500 strong Barmy Army choir in the adjacent room! They enjoyed Boxing Day even less!

The cost for members is as follows, Adults £90, Children 12-17 £70 and under 12 £45.

For Non Members Adults £96. Children 12-17 £75 and under 12 £48

Most cringeworthy thing about cricket (and for any other sport really) is those people who only come out of the woodwork for big series/high profile matches etc and pay no attention the rest of the year(s).
