Absolutely. We deserve to lose the Ashes if they can’t get this over the line.

And it’s mentality that seems to be the difference. Aus better scrappers. Technically England maybe have the edge.

im hopeful that some of this winning grit is transferred to Spurs under our new manager.

No very true . But we just gift wickets playing needless shots. Two days to get these runs. No they chase nothing deliveries and throw away your wicket. Lesson one to any batsmen as a kid. Don’t give away your wicket.

I do understand their philosophy. You are going to lose your wicket at some time to a brilliant ball or mistake. So get on the front foot, score while you’re in, plus push the bowling attack back to adapt to you.

But at the same time don’t give away needless wickets. Hard to get the balance right. If Aus didn’t have Cummings, would we have won all 3 games?

Yeh exactly right, and the losing of wickets hasn't been bazball issues but idiotic errors.

And we have also made the most fielding errors I can ever remember that have been more costly IMO. Snaff half those and we are well ahead of the Aussies, this test alone they would have been toast a day ago even with weather issues.

It's all fine lines, I've been vocal so won't be a shock to many when i say sentiment probably let us down as much as anything too. Bairstow, Ali, Anderson probably all played one game too many if not more each

Root/Bairstow have missed more chances than the entire Australian team has in 6 innings
