Good grief Twuntychops, I hope you're right, although it would be nice to enjoy the last few minutes of a Spurs game and be 2-0 or 3-1 up.
 
I agree with him. We beat them away last year and we'll beat them away on Saturday.

They've improved under Poyet but we'll have enough to beat them. Have we conceded from any corners this season? I know we had a spell last year where we seemed to concede every game from them because no one was standing on the line, but have we actually conceded one this year in the league?

First goal by West Ham started with a corner. First header was blocked (by their own player, typical SPurs luck), but they scored from the follow-up
 
Sunderland v Tottenham (5pm, Sat, Sky Sports 1)

This will be a hard trip for Tottenham on Saturday night. Sunderland scored three goals against Chelsea in midweek and still lost the game, but Gus Poyet will be telling his players that if they keep scoring goals at home every week they'll soon start winning more than they lose.

I thought Tottenham were lucky to come away with a win against Fulham, but they deserve credit for the way they responded to losing 6-0 to Emirates Marketing Project. They drew with Man United and won in midweek, so you can't ask for more than that.

Andre Villas-Boas has to decide whether to stick with Jermain Defoe up front (I can't see him playing both him and Roberto Soldado) and I think he should. There's no point bringing Defoe in for one game and then dropping him; he needs six or seven games on the trot to get on a run.

Villas-Boas will say they need to win this game because things are so tight at the top of the Premier League, but I've been impressed with Sunderland under Poyet and I think this will be a draw.

Only half their matches are at home right? So even if they win all the home matches that doesn't mean they'll win more than they lose....

Surely things being tight at the top means you have less need of winning? If it's tight then you'll lose less ground by not winning than if there are gaps, right?

It has been a while... Boxing Day 2012 at Villa Park to be precise. AVB probably considers going 3-0 up a thoroughly inefficient and frivolous waste of energy [-X

Speaking of Sunderland being strong on corners; didn't we really improve our goals scored/chances created from corners after Ramos took over from Jol?:-k
