But still, in the end, the death of another dream, the end of another prodigy, the return to another drawing board....is nothing to be happy about.
I think that says it for a lot of us. Very sad that a relationship which promised a lot has failed. I suspect that AVB bought into the dream, and thought that Levy would get him the players like Hulk and Villa who he thought would deliver it....mistake.
What I don't understand is why we didn't get an Adebayor replacement if AVB had decided that the guy as poison and there was no way he would use Adebayor again.....

Hero?
Hero ffs, some of the hyperbole.
What has he done to warrant being labelled a hero?
Hero.
Putting up with our fans?
really? doesnt take much then
Hero?
Obviously he's achieved nothing to be called a hero, he's not a hero for this club in the same way Ledley King is, or Bill Nick is, or Martin Jol during the good years.
But **** it, he's a hero in my eyes because of what he could have achieved. I wanted him to succeed badly. It's not rational but I thought he had the potential to make us great.
First man who dusted of all the cynicism and give me real belief that Tottenham could be great again (since my childhood naivety was shattered in summer 1991). I've not had such passion for the club in more than 20 years - I genuinely felt the clouds were finally breaking and blue skies (and silverware) were ahead. Now we are right back in the mid-winter storm.
Gutter, what's your occupation?
