i find it funny that people rarely take wages in to account when discussing these things - for me wages and transfer fees go hand in hand and id say including wages Arsenal would have significantly outspent us during Wengers reign

of course they are entitled to spend that money on wages if they keep it within their means

For some clubs that doesn't even matter....

so our wages did creep up over the years. that's the cost of maintaining world class talents i suppose.
Saudi Sportswashing Machine seems to be running a tight ship now with their excursion down and up the leagues, but villa on the other hand - how do they keep their finances going?

Randy Lerner.

But he's had enough of bankrolling them as of a year or two back. Which is why they've had a few tough years.

A few rumours doing the rounds that Sigurdsson met or spoke to Brendan Rodgers yesterday and that he will sign for Liverpool. Some Icelandic guy on RAWK seems convinced and claims to have an impeccable source. Reckons that Liverpool were always his first choice because of Rodgers and that he used Spurs to get a better deal. Also says that the reason why Liverpool didn't tie up the signing earlier is that, as part of the deal to take Rodgers to Liverpool, he had to agree to a clause stating that he wouldn't try to sign any Swansea players - and Sigurdsson's loan to Swansea doesn't officially expire until 1st July. Which fits, I suppose.

Might all be gonads, of course, but it certainly casts doubt on Ganter's earlier info yesterday. Will it be him or Wriggly donating £1 to g-g?

fudge me, this is getting tedious isn't it? Let's just get in Carlton Cole, Steve Sidwell and tie Parker and Gallas down to 6-year 80k a week contracts. At least there'll be some sort of fudging movement. Oh, and if Curbishley isn't announced as manager by midday on Monday, UK time, I will start a fudging war.

I may have had a wine....

No it doesn't. He was never a Swansea player.

haha, this icelandic poster with the info on RAWK is called SHAKA, and many believe him to be a good sauce, now one rawk member has worked out what SHAKA stands for

Sigursdsson Himself Also Known As

K N O B

SSN are saying he has passed our medical and agreed personal terms

plot

thickens

then again, he had passed the Swansea medical and agreed personal terms there, so it seems until this geyser ;) signs on the dotted line somewhere noone will know for sure where he will end up

lol all these excuses coming from Liverpool supporters because they still can't get their head around the fact that at this point in time we are probably a better option for a young player to sign for - it's that simple - we're not offering more wages that them, there's no deals in place so Rodgers can't sign him it's just a simple case of him preferring us to them

deal with it 8)

hopefully

no-one really knows for sure at this stage

All the talk lately has suggested Spurs will make loads of announcements on the 1st July or possibly Monday. I wonder if many other clubs have some deals sorted ready for the 1st and will also have some major announcements/signings on the same day?

Imagine if RVP left this weekend?
