Spurs: Your worst moments......

Knee jerk thread?

Never. We bottled it. Were woeful and had a couple of lucky breaks.

I'd say that win for them equalled our 3-2 win our 4-4 draw and everything that we have ever given them.

That was our chance to make a claim for our dominance and we fcuked it.

Completely outclassed and outplayed and we will forever be in their shadow.

I guarantee they will end up above us now.

We lose to united they win against Cnut fc or whoever they play.

by any chance are you between the ages of 24 and 35?

have to say that you embody the entire stereotype of a typical spurs fan of the recent years. not the worst thing on earth but i would hope thats its a culture that the club is slowly but surely getting away from...all that negative, loser, we will always lose no matter how well its going mentality is that kind of spirit thats engulfed the club for so many years.

would be nice to keep up a winning face and posture even when we lose. not a total melt down and quite frankly what appears to be an immature response to one defeat whereas we have won these matches more than them in recent encounters

one match makes up and overtakes all the heart aches we have been giving them? nonesense IMO

Bang in the middle. 29.

Have only really seen us lose apart from the 1991 cup final, was too young for 84, and didn’t really watch spurs until 91 cup final onwards.

Maybe I just need to take a step back and think that its only a game and focus more on life itself? Then when we do lose its not the end of the world and I won’t be too negative. Don’t think I should drink during games either if I’m honest, that only fuels the anger. Don’t get me wrong, I would have still been pi55ed off yesterday if I had not have drunk, but I would not have come on here and written the thread the way it was written, probably not written it at all. That has to be my first step.

i thought so. you are not alone... ALOT of tottenham fans in that age group , including myself, seem to view things in a more bleak manner than other people. i personally put it down to supporting tottenham when they were practically grossly underperforming....i had never had experience of success until martin Jol....and when he was here it was heaven but i was just waiting for us to fail which IMO we didnt......the thought of making CL? you must be mad

and so the train goes round the predictable track...we sit in a superior position to arsenal in almost everyway and yet i had no confidence whatsoever that we were going to go out there and smash them...at 2-0 i thought (okay please just hold on)...we might do it or get a draw. i stopped watching after the 5th goal.

i do get where you are coming from and i actually agree that to some extent maybe a realisATION that football wont stop genocide or ethnic cleansing etc etc is healthy, but there really is no need to be so drastic....just take the licks which are coming our way after a beat down like that and look forward to the positives that we have now and MAY have come the end of the season.

chin up soldier

you are right. it helps that there are others similar to me, albeit you are probably not an immature moody taco like me.

I just love spurs so much that it hurts so much. All I can think of today is spurs and I am trying not to. Cant buy a paper, cant look at newsnow, cant speak to people! so annoying. had we lost 1-0 then maybe I wouldnt be this bad, but the way we lost was pathetic. Im glad in some way I was drunk as I cant remember the whole game. Like you I switched off after 5-2, and went to my bedroom (like a kid) and had to have the tele off so did not watch it whilst my mates watched it in the living room.

something has to change for me though as i am horrible to be around on days like that....

but thanks for putting the time to respond though and not being judgemental in your last post. posts like these help and ill try and focus on positives on everything from now on, it'll be hard but will do it somehow.

Smug gooners have been unbearable, worst thing is if you respond to it they just get off on it even more because they think you're biting.

Have to take it on the chin and ride out the storm. I for one am glad we have a hard game coming up though, if we played and lost to blackburn this weekend that really would derail the season. United will force them to step up and we're now firmly back in the underdog camp. Success breeds complacency in alot of instances

I'm sorry, but we were not lucky in that 4 - 4. We gifted them three of their goals, wrapped up in a nice shiny bow. We scored some quality goals and the only reason we didn't win that game was three moments of sloppiness. They won yesterday because they played their best game of the season, and we played one of our worst. brick happens, but they have a tough run of fixtures too so it's not over yet.

Sorry for my outbursts yesterday people.

Was upset and spanked but shouldn't have started this thread.

Think I've broken my foot where I booted my tv cabinet yesterday if it's any consolation....

Onwards to United....

We dont accept apologies. Your punishment is death by bukkake

Threads like this are the reason I try not to visit Spurs forums after a loss.

Got 5 vermin at work and they mostly kept their mouths shut. One got a bit gobby and he quickly got short shrift. ****.

Onwards and upwards

Try going to school, when Le Arse have just hit 5 past us, for no reply at White Hart Lane! Loving awful few weeks after that.

But remember, its all swings and roundabouts my friends!

Mate, try going through an entire school lifetime of not beating those ****s!

(not me, I hasten to add, I'm too old for that shocking statistic) but during that HORRIBLE 11 year 'not beating them' hoodoo - or whatever it was - there must've been many poor souls who never experienced the joy of being able to go into school on a Monday morning, with their Spurs scarf worn proudly around their neck after a thumping NLD victory! THAT'S why Sunday hurts... 'cos I thought we'd put all that inferiority complex behind us... apparently not!

I'm not quite sure why the scum have been so vocal, for a change, after the game. It's as if the slate has been wiped clean and whinger is suddenly the best manager again.

same could be said about this board. suddenly its all doom and gloom when we're still 3rd and ahead of Arsenal.

chin up guys. the team needs it even more as we enter the last mile.

I would say this post has made you the laughing stock of the board.

I could be wrong.............

Yes. I was almost physically ill after the game. Very hard loss to take. But never would I stoop to consider myself or Spurs a perpetual laughingstock. Just have to remind Arsenal fans of the recent 4-0 scalping Milan gave them or the 8-2 bikini waxing they got from United and suddenly they're far less smug. Kick in the seven point gap, the fact that Chelsea remain tied with them and Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Liverpool lurk just behind them and all the pomp and ceremony fades right out.

Then bring up the impending RVP departure this summer and all the collateral damage that will cause over the coming years. Suddenly, the sun comes out and birds sing again.

And we haven't even moved on to our new ground or Eden Hazard's wish to play here.

I'm going to be fine. I hope you are too. All of you.

Thank you THFC

For putting in one of the worst moods I've ever been in - it's now day 4 and it's not lifting. I am angry with everyone, confused by their behaviour when it must be mine as everyone is exhibiting the same !!!
The trigger point was definitely Sundays game.

Thanks
