Spurs: Your worst moments......

Any gooners reading on here, well good luck to them. You have to enjoy the good times when they come along and there haven't been many for them this season, and to be honest next season's not looking to promising either.

I'm gutted about losing 5-2 to that lot but I love football, I love the NLD and this is one of the reasons why: the form book goes out the window. It's suited us over the last few years, and I reckon they were due something out of it anyway. And I'm also proud that the games are always brilliant, what have the last few results been? 5-2, 2-1, 3-3, 2-3, 2-1, 3-0? Plus 4-4, 4-5, 5-1 not to long ago.... our derbies are a total class above any other fixture in the world for entertainment.

Put the result into context for us and we're still 7 points clear in third and have a nice looking route in the FA Cup. Our squad is in better shape for the future. This really shouldn't be anymore than a glitch to us, Man U lost 6-1 at home to City but put it behind them and still might win the league. So let them laugh today, we'll go to work feeling like crap tomorrow, but apart from having a 60,000 seater stadium they have nothing over us at this moment in time.

=D>

Ok I'm sorry Joesh. But we were embarrassing today.....

Sorry admins. Sorry thread merchants.

What is a thread merchant??? I agree that we were terrible but what I am judging you by is first your thread title that is "Absolute laughing stock forever and ever" which going by any Spurs fan does not make any sense as we are 3rd in the league. Lets be a laughing stock for many years to come if thats the case. Arsenals cycle is over, this result has given Wenger, not their fans, some increased belief that they are "maturing" which means lets forget them as real rivals until 2017 when they realise that 10+years of challenging for nothing is in fact a brick return on the highest ticket prices in the league.
We have seen in Milan that this belief is flawed big time.

I absolutley agree with this. This is far from the end of our season which is my main point aswell. We are not a team who is always in the top 3 or 4 but to be ridiculed for not winning every game in our first real top tier challenge is some what ridiculous.

The ridiculing is for collapsing whilst winning 2-0 to our most hated rivals.

TBH I am not disputing that, I am as disappointed as anyone at losing this game but the thread title got me agravated as it suggested that we are a team who are far below our rivals but when you look at the table/season you can see that we are a fantastic team that if kept together is a team who can challenge for more than local bragging rights and could even win the league.

worst football I have seen in a long time, reminded me of when we lost away to Saudi Sportswashing Machine 7-1... Nobody showed up today. King is not match fit FFS

Yeah we're still better than them. Player for player.

Really?
Ok mate. My betfair bets today:

3-0 spurs
3-1 spurs
3-2 spurs
3-3 ( most negative bet )

You want to see my betting slips?

That's the most optimistic I've ever been yet I have been massively let down by spurs.

Spurs should give me my money back.

U my sir are a .....

I happen to agree with you but would like to point out that betfair do not issue betting slips, i should know i bet on there every week day.

Don't know. I'm upset. Just think we will never end up better than them.

Come on now, don't say that. The demigod in your avatar would never have played for them. Do you know why? Because for most of their existence, they have been an ugly, grinding team who were nothing special at all. How many of Arsenal's titles do you remember before Wenger? 89, because of Thomas? the one at the Lane? Yeah, but which others? Not many, because they were run of the mill, won by a gritty, no-frills, long-ball team, just like every other out there at the time. It came, it went. Whereas nearly every one of our trophies is remembered for all the right reasons, because even through our lowest patches, when losing to second and third-division sides, getting thumped by the bigger boys and being parodied as the laughing stock of London, we still carried ourselves with a certain grace; a style and a philosophy, inherited from Arthur Rowe, Bill Nick, Danny Blanchflower and so many others. Play with style. Play with flair.Entertain. And deserve victory. And we nearly always did that. We still nearly always do that.

So no matter how many tin pots they've picked up, no matter how many times they jeeringly point and sneer, they will never truly equal Spurs. Because nearly everything they did, we did first. And we did it better. And we will continue to do it better. Because we have something to live up to. An ethos, a gravitas, that they can never truly attain. And they are envious. That's why they point to their trophy cabinet; because they don't have anything else to point to.

And even that's looking rather threadbare of late.;)

Everyone needs to calm the fudge down. It was a terrible performance and Harry made costly mistakes. But after all this we're still in pole position for 3rd place and have a really decent shot at the FA Cup. Perspective needed here.

We are currently better then them. Your statement is incorrect.

It's where we finish in May that counts, though.

I can see them finishing 3rd, Chelsea 4th, Liverpool 5th and us 6th.

It's what we do - and I doubt if all this Harry speculation is helping much.

Sorry for my outbursts yesterday people.

Was upset and spanked but shouldn't have started this thread.

Think I've broken my foot where I booted my tv cabinet yesterday if it's any consolation....

Onwards to United....
