Good interview that. Interesting to hear about Freund on the man management side too, maybe thats another reason he was brought in.

The Freund appointment seemed to come out of no where, but that makes it seem whoever made the decision knew what they were doing. You need a mix of temperaments and characteristics in the coaching staff. A fiery motivational type who the players can approach is useful, although AVB is fiery enough during games and is approachable according to the players (Sandro and someone else said similar).

I strongly doubt he'd be ahead of Sandro in any Avi B team, mate

It was an aspect I was worried about when we appointed AVB, I wasn't sure who was going to do the motivational side. That's one thing you simply couldn't level against Redknapp's side, with Harry, Bond and Jordon we were always going to be up for it.

it would be sandro for me, but parker would be getting plenty of game time, I'd be rotating the arse out of sandro and parker to keep them both fresh, but sandro would be my no. 1.

I agree fully. Sandro has been getting back to his beastly ways this season, should start most games and certainly start all big games.

I think Sandro and Dempsey together should make us very solid defensively this season.

Yep, i want Sandro to play as much as possible! maybe not quite the finished article now but with another season under his belt!!! well i just hope we sign him up on some stupid long contract.

Really? the were many times last season when i thought the opposite especailly in the run in when we seemed to have lost all our "fight"

Can i just say that double 360 on the floor whilst keeping hold of the ball and then taking it away under control was an immense move today. His passing leaves alot to be desired but everything he is there to do he does very well. Good game.

Agreed. He was very good today. Looked confident. If he could just learn to pass the ball...
