It's the nuclear propulsion system that is the problem, afaik. Not the big boom bit. The US decided aeons ago it was a stupid approach as there are plenty of other ways to propel missiles to kill humanity.

Agree with this. Posted as much some time ago. Imagine the Kremlin...post Ukraine and Georgia - where the US and EU put their ore into Russia's backyard - they launched a new program to retaliate against the west. I'm sure they are laughing in the Kremlin, they never thought it would be such a disruptive success.

The sums that Russia has pumped into manipulating western politics may never be known. We get an occasional hint of it, small traces, but most is well hidden. Money via shell companies or financial trading arrangments is moved from Russia to funders of political parties. Aaron Banks. Possibly Robert Mercer too.

They are quite possibly vehicles for the Russian government to channel funds into nations that won't accept foreign political donations?

It wasn't that long ago I would have dismissed this as a ridiculous conspiracy theory. Now I accept it as fact. The weakening of western liberal democracy and NATO is Putin's aim and frankly, it's working. He sees a crack and he drives a wedge into it. That's what brexit is and that is what is happening in the US.
