Pre Season 2016

Denied by the woodwork twice in the first 20 mins...rather we have our bad luck in a friendly. Not that it works that way. Decent start though, already better than Tuesday
 
Brilliant first half hour from us against a really top side, 8 of whom played in the Champions League final last year.

The period from 10 to 20 minutes was really impressive, Eriksen and Lamela pulling the strings.
 
Well, that was a pretty clear offside. Godin was in an offside position when the freekick came in. Shouldn't have been a goal. But who cares. :p
 
Attacking quartet disappointing.

Wanyama excellent again. Winks showing promise, but mixed execution.

Young defenders looking assured overall.
 
A couple of good moments from Mason since coming on and playing in the numner 10 type role.

Lovely free kick from Janssen there as wel producing a good save from Oblak (who's save from Mason was absolutely World class I thought)

At work so cant see a screen, but following on text and all I am seeing is 'Save from Oblak' on an infuriating regular basis!
 
Carroll should've done better there after an absolute gift from the keeper (he fell over as he tried to clear it and kicked it straight to Carroll about 30 yards out, only for Carroll to mis-control it before playing a weak pass to Janssen)
