So a bit of a waiting game to see what he decides, or a waiting game for him to see what other offers he gets.

Hope we're looking at other deals too, this one still seems more of a hopeful long shot well worth taking to me.

I mainly hope the Dibling one is going on in parallel (even if it's confirmed now but for the summer). We need both those roles addressed for next season.

One is a starting RWF, the other is a back-up CF and in the mix for LWF. They are also very different - Dibling is a lock picking playmaker, whereas Tel is a direct goalscorer.

Other than LB, i dont see we have bigger needs than those two.

I think the deal though is that they'd be the two big signings over the next two windows, i.e. no more (unless we say sell Romero to buy Guehi)

Dibling can be registered as club trained in the future in European competitions if he signs this window. Turns 19 soon so will be too late for that in the summer.

Wasn't there reports southampton don't want to sell mid season? They'd prefer to wait till summer.

Levy is not involved in the scouting and short-listing. But once a target has been identified and we go in for him he gets involved to get the deal over the line. He did so with Dragusin, Porro, and Kinsky to name a few. That's very different from being the decision maker on who we will sign.

Everyone has been aware of him for at least a year now. If he wasn't agitating for a move I doubt Bayern would be selling him. He'd be quite the coup, if he lives up to his potential.
