There's a beautiful irony though in the way she disseminates false information in an old school medium complaining about how newer mediums can be used to disseminate false information.

Of course, but equally I don't think its a secret that organisations like CA are used by states to manipulate voting intentions, there were no come backs for the WSJ for printing the names and cases they had evidence of, for me that's not the real scandal either TBH, it happens in everything we consume online be it political or consumer.

As I say, the theming of what she is saying is spot on............then again I wonder if it is Social media or the idiots that use it that is the real issue, example below, people clearly not knowing how the UK justice system works but want someone flogged for doing their job...........as I say, dangerous

It's the idiots. There's a complete lack of critical thinking in younger generations. I don't know what's caused it or how to solve it but it's worrying.

She's been done in a few court cases I think now. She goes around spouting bo****ks about people and organisations and then sets up crowd funding pages for her delusional army of followers to pay for the compensation and legal costs she incurs. Its quite funny to watch 2bh. Humans, eh?

It's a smaller problem in countries that are more successful with their preventative approach to healthcare.

Let's say you have a really good screening program for bowel and colon cancer. You can then organise any intrusive work/surgery/scans to take place outside of the pinch point.

In a reactive system like ours, if someone turns up bricking blood in January, you can't schedule an appointment for them in March.

An insurance based system would reduce this issue significantly.

Needs to start earlier than that. People need to be properly educated on diet and lifestyle choices and eating a balanced diet and getting regular exervise needs to be made easier than it is for some people. There also needs to be some consequence management. There's a 7 year old girl in my son's class that is obese. Unless she's got some sort of condition social services would intervene if a parent was starving or hitting a child, but what they've done is just as damaging, setting her up for a life of psychological and physical battles....

Education is the magic bullet, it’s not that social media is full of brick, it’s that we stopped teaching kids how to recognise it.

It's the idiots. There's a complete lack of critical thinking in younger generations. I don't know what's caused it or how to solve it but it's worrying.

There's two (evil?) things at work here.

Firstly, Content, and exposure to it, can range from endless mind numbing drivel to downright dangerous (in various contexts and situations).
There are the psychological issues the content actually brings.
Always telling them what they 'should be' 'should have' 'should be doing'
How about....being themselves?
And the vulnerable ones at an even greater risk.

Secondly, and probably more important and a potential problem in the long run, is brain development issues of young people. (as it's still in its formation stage)
There's clearly the addictive tendancies of the technology. It's plain to see.
There's no 'switch off' button.
They struggle to have moments when just being quiet is ok
Its the externalisation of everything
Information flow is constantly inwards
Zero time spent plain old thinking, pondering, day dreaming
These are the negative behavioural traits.

Of course there is the issue of time well spent too.
All the hours spent on the mind numbing drivel is time not doing all the things, let's be honest, they should be doing. They're fudging fun things as well, not like stuff your parents would drag you off to do. eg church, long walk etc.

Tbh quite a bit of the above applies to adults as well.

The saddest thing, is as usual, the whole thing is motivated by the money on the backend. If you have a channel, feed, account that's blown up you milk it to max...pumping out all the gonads that presses all the right buttons (right buttons for you) with total disregard for the end user.

Nutrition/diet , lifestyle, exercise (inc anatomy and physiology) ...is another compulsory for the school curriculum
(Along with finance...as Ive mentioned before)

They are whole life skills...impacting you everyday.

I have said this for years on here, our schooling system and archaic education standards are one of the reasons we have these issues. People get a false sense of themselves when they leave school with an A because they can dissect Shakespeare and speak a little french........... ohhh no grasp of how to cook and care for yourself, no understanding of the framework of debt or the importance of your credit score and frankly kids coming out already overweight because there is near to zero in education on diet and importance healthy living, its cool though you can write 1000 words on the importance of William Caxton and the printing press.

I also agree with @scaramanga, the reliance on a reactive not proactive view to medicine and health is where the strain comes in, people can start but looking after themselves better (that comes from the above IMO) and we could invest initially more into screening which will eventually help the back end (no pun intended with the colon reference) with back logs (again no pun) and vast numbers of people reliant on treatment. Things like cancer are not an easy thing to get ahead of, but screening + helping yourself certainly helps the fight.

I also think our lack of any kind of real effort to tackle poor mental health and social issues in this country has the long term impact on things we see today. Not to go off on a tangent, you don't solve knife crime by getting a domestic product off the street or the stop and search plaster, for me you increase the prospects of those most likely to offend and change the narrative for them, that also comes with a school reform where kids are giving attainment based prospects with things like money and work over grades comes in

Oh of course I think there are various reasons behind it. Worryingly though I don't even think we have adapted our curriculum to skill kids with the modern world which hurts us economically and the changing world and skills needed.
