Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Have you been to a live game over here?
The refs are really really bad
And then having Webb over them doesn’t help the poor blokes
And I think our midfield is fine if we accept it’s a two against a three all the time. They can only do so much when outnumbered
The whole system is daft and hampers us a lot
I was supposed to go last year for my first time, had tickets to the Spurs-Arsenal game (the one that was postponed) but couldn't end up traveling due to covid restrictions.
The refs are absolute dogbrick, it's so plain to see even on TV. They get basic things wrong all the time. I try to be understand for some of the more difficult decisions, but that's what VAR should be for, right? And even those roosterheads get it wrong too.

I did find Efan to be biased when it came to that penalty decision but for once, the VAR looked it over very quickly and concluded the matter in record time. I had to pinch myself because I couldn't believe we got a decision go our way.
And of course, I don't blame the players for the system they play in, unless we decide to do a PSG and let Kane be the captain and player-manager for the team.

I did just to keep you happy and I'm right ;)

In PL
Kulu: 6 assists in 1640mins
Perisic: 6 assists in 1758 mins
Son: 4 assists in 2204 mins

Also, some of those Perisic assists were from corners.

Kulu is more creative by the stats and by the eye...
I agree with your point, though I would like to see the stat use ‘key passes’ instead of assists (as that stat is directly impacted by whether or not a different player converts the chance).

In all competitions Perisic has 10 assists....

I don't actually know what Kulu's number is but its not as high I don't believe. Meaning I'm right......:D

Got bamboozled for their third goal, although we were kind of throwing everything at trying to win so I don't blame him for covering someone else's position. Romero is definitely more at fault for being too aggressive and not reading the situation, with Dier also partly to blame. However, in the overall match today, it felt like he was quite anonymous.

Makes sense. He's someone that should peak the interest of a variety of clubs. With two years left, now is the time to sell. I wouldn't want to give him a new contract and next summer his value will drop with just one year left.

Yep, it's the similar to our other midfielders, older, likely to get the best value sale and while likely good for us (if we wanted) for another year or two, not as long term option.

Not the worst but gosh he is basic.
Well if he is basic doesn't say much for the rest of them. Only three players scored more than him, and only two players got more assists than him - Kane and Son got less.

He is a solid midfielder, but appreciate he isnt going to fit into Anges style so best for him and us if moved on....

Numbers you say? Meanwhile rice goes for £105 with less numbers ... just because he scored and assisted in this poor team doesn't mean I am going to change my opinion. Better players or there rather than occupying a place in the starting XI

Wasn't asking you to change your opinion? Just saying he directly contributed more than the majority in our goals so others are going to have to up their game. Which I think will happen now we will be playing a totally different way....

Our midfield was pretty awful. Basic is a fair word for them aside from Bentancur and Sarr tbh.

I'm not sure why he has been isolated as 'not being suitable for Postecoglou'. Probably his passing, but its no worse than Bissoumas, probably better. And Hojbjerg under Mourinho was a machine chasing everything and everyone down. He had game after game of impressive performances. So he can play a high-intensity closing game. He's adding goals and his passing isn't terrible.

The best reason to sell Hojberg is he would probably realise a strong fee. But if we don't get a good offer, I would keep him, especially if Bentancur is not back for some months.

In a team with a low block, loads of time yo recover because the team would fill back in numbers.

He doesn't have the pace or the mobility to help support attacks and then get back in what will be a bramd of quick transition football.

His passing under no pressure is ok, but he also chucks some in the front rows and into no man's land, Anges football from what I've seen relies on alot more accuracy and movement. He isn't great at either IMO
