Defoe's positioning and running off the ball is woeful -as is his touch. If he isnt scoring, he is a passenger - or worse - has a negative effect on the team.

Much better to keep him as an impact sub. he never gets going in the first half of most games he plays in and one of the reasons for our slow starts in games

Ps this isn't an attack on Defoe, he's been brilliant this season, it's just him in this formation. This also isn't attacks with the way we are playing, I can see what we are trying to do, and I think it's impressive, it's just this lone striker.

Either that or play him with someone alongside, especially at home.
