OK, time for us to stamp our mark on the run-in. Some may say the PL is out of our reach with Leicester's 7 point gap plus their fixtures. But as nice and shiny a 3-0 thumping win (in the end) at home to Manure was, a convincing win away vs Stoke will scare Leicester AND Arsenal/Emirates Marketing Project/Chelski and let them REALLY know we are not the "same old Spurs" this season (if they didn't already).

Arsenal will probably have dispatched Crystal Palace with ease and will be gathered in front of their Goggleboxes willing on Stoke to cut our lead with them; imagine their faces when they see we aren't going to be caught so easily. They will play West Brom on on the following Thursday with renewed pressure to keep up..hmmm..
City will start to look more down than up.
Chelski will fear their hoodoo time might be up.

Basically this match boils down to:

Basically, I think we win these battles and hence we win 3-0 with goals from Kane, Dier and Dembele.

Then we'll likely be on our way to this:

Well nibble on my giblets...your a a sneaky one!

Got to keep going and be wary as they will look to respond after a poor showing at Anfield. Saying that I believe in our boys and will be gutted if we cant get the three points.

we must continue to push on and finish the season strongly.

Stoke Citys name first?

It's difficult to know how the OMT Gods could have made their wishes any clearer.

Official Match Threads

1. There shalt be only one Official Match Thread and it shalt have OMT in its title.

2. Thou shalt not take unto thee a graven image of thy own choice should Tottenham lose, thy avatar shalt be given thee by the OMT gods and shalt remain until such time as Tottenham win again.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of thy club in vain, the OMT title shalt always have the name of Tottenham Hotspur listed first of the two teams.

4. Remember to observe the sabbath between OMTs, thou shalt not start two consecutive OMTs.

5. Honour the OMT gods' official representatives the administrators, that your days may be long on this forum that be Glory-Glory.

6. The OMT's opening post shalt inform the members of Glory-Glory of all things important: Who are we playing? When is the match? Where does it take place?

7. The OMT's opening post shalt not be too short, nor too long, but simple, concise and glorious, to truly honour the OMT gods. A possible starting lineup and pictures of furry animals are not frowned upon.

8. The first OMT posted once the previous OMT has been unstickied shalt be the official one, though there is no glory in one not of the required quality.

9. Thou shalt not start an OMT be thou not a known member of this forum.

10. Thou shalt not start an OMT be thou not a fan of TottenhamHotspur.

Such a mediocre OMT! We tend to win if it's either ace or insanely brick, so surely we're out of the title race now. :(

Same team as the United game.

We played them in our first home game of the season and was the most difficult result to take given how we were 2-0 up and should have been further ahead but Alderweireld's only mistake of the season gave them a penalty and a way back into the game.

I fancy us to win a nervy 2-1 game.

Stoke - hmm. Inconsistent side. If Shaqiri doesnt play this game, we will definitely win it. Arnatauvic (sp) is their most dangerous person. He is strong and if he is confident - he turns it on. They are also missing Butland.

Spurs however are on a high. We have battered City, Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Watford et al. Hughes will most likely watch the Spammers against us and look for key points. It will be a tight game.

I want this game to be a showcase of exactly how the Premier League has changed this year. A group of expensively assembled individuals vs a collective group of players with a shared vision, and obviously I hope we win. Same XI (I think most would agree). Bojan is playing well, not sure if Arnautovic is still pretending to be Ibrahimovic (he ripped us apart last season). But as all games, this is about us.
Honestly look at all games and think we should be winning now (including Chelsea away)

Team picks itself. Same X1 for this and the other 4 matches I would say

Dont they always say the test of a foreign players mentality is how well they perform on a cold midweek night at Stoke. Okay its a Monday, but you know what I mean.

A few weeks ago I would have said probably a draw, but after the weekend I think we might just sneak this 2-1. Last season's 3-0 was one of the worst displays I have seen in the last few years. Time to totally erode that one from the memory banks and replace with a confidence-boosting win and move within a win of the Top 4

Kane was hurt in Sunday before he went off

Nothing has been mentioned since and he was trying to run it off but has anyone heard anything?

It's only on a Wednesday night in January when foreign players can truly show their mettle.

He took a heavy knock off Darmian, I think it was, but I reckon the sub was only precautionary. He came back onto the field after the final whistle to take part in the celebrations and there was no evidence of anything to worry about then as far as I could see.
