OMT - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS southampton

It would now seem clear AVB favours Brad over Hugo for pure goalkeeping skills, as he's had enough opportunities to make the change if he so wanted.

Starting to wonder whether AVB even wanted Ade or Lloris. I know Ade has had a few fitness issues but he has been fit enough to sit on the bench yet Defoe continues to start, and as for Lloris if this carries on you couldn't blame him for handing in a transfer request come January 1st. Why break the wage structure to bring Ade here and why buy the French national keeper just to sit him on the bench.

Lineup is strong enough to beat Southampton anyway.

Nearly time for Sky Sports to be put on 60 sec delay. Dont want to see any score flashes pop up on the TV just in case my river flows slowly

just happy to see the big man in goal...amongst the hate

No-one is 'hating' Friedel, people are just worried that AVB is potentially alienating our future number 1 goalkeeper and French captain who some consider, rightly or wrongly, to be one of the best keepers in the world, to make a statement over a keeper who has an absolute maximum of another 1 and three quarters seasons left.

Absolutely disgusted that Gallas keeps his place after his horrific peformance last week. I would play a youth team player ahead of him. We are doomed.

Saints win - Rosenthal hat-trick.

well people and lloris need to be patient. brad is so consistent and stable in goal so its hard to displace him now but at the end of the season when his contract expires lloris will be no1 hopefully for the next 10 years(if hes as good as u lot say)

I'd be very suprised if he hasn't already. i don't believe for one minute that Lloris came to Spurs expecting to be on the bench at the end of October.

We're talking about the French captian and a man who's already racked up over 200 senior appearances for club, not an 18 year old who has just broken through from the youth team. Again, rightly or wrongly, he isn't going to quietly sit on the bench for the whole season.

Yes, because established world class players are renowned for being "patient", that happens all the time doesnt it. Hugo will be off in January at this rate and Brad will be too old to give us another season next year so we will be back to square one.

Utter madness from AVB.

again, he should shut his mouth, be patient as he will get games this season, not as much as he wants but hey.....lifes a bitch eh

He wont be off in January. Think about it - next season he will be our number one for many many years - it aint like Friedel is 25 and top notch and has a long term future anymore.

So Lloris may well cause a fuss but from next season he will be our number one.

I agree he should be number one now but the risk of him leaving is extremely minimal.

And I'll say two things:

1) I love Big Brad. I wish he was 10 years younger so that we didn't even need to buy Lloris in the first place
2) I haven't yet, as far as I'm aware, offered a particularly strong opinion on Lloris' abilities. I do believe he is currently at least equal to Friedel, if not better. But for the long term good, it may be good if he is brought in as no. 1 slightly earlier than than August 2013.
