**** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs SCBC ****

They lost 0-2 at home to Brentford a couple of days ago.

Just saying.
They are not world beaters for sure and should be beatable by us. But they have also drawn with Utd and beaten Leicester and Chelsea, under this new manager. So not necessarily an easy game.

Btw Brentford have lost one game this year so are a decent team.

In a sense, losing out might be better for the club in the long run than getting in.

Because there's an unholy trifecta looming - of us losing top four, Kane leaving, and the Goons winning the league. But it might also take the final shred of cover away from ENIC, and accelerate our calls for change, because there is no way any fan can in good faith remain passive about them after that.

They simply cannot get us further than 4th place. They are physically incapable of it, and there are better owners (Kroenkes, FSG, etc.), smarter owners (Brighton's lot) and unfortunately for them, richer owners (basically half the league) that ultimately outcompete them - either through better decisions or just more spending which covers for bad decisions.

They've clung on by their fingernails as Spurs accumulated value, and I had hoped they would now quietly sell and fudge off. But they seem disinclined to do that, so maybe they need an encouraging push - because I can guarantee you we will win nothing as long as they are here, and if 22 grinding years haven't shown this, maybe the end of season nightmare will be what finally makes the fans wake up.

Yeah but if they go who we getting instead?

Probably the Qatari’s who are also getting united.

The whole of football in this country is utterly fudged. Everyone thinks its the best in the world but its a cover and under the cover is utter brick of human rights abusers using our league to wash the blood of their hands.

It is sickening and football in this country should be shut down permanently. It has gone into an extremely dark avenue and any fans of the teams are the total mugs who need to give the sport up so it can quite rightly die.

My money's on Jim Ratcliffe or some Americans, personally. Not like they're beacons of humanism, but they wouldn't be on the level of Qataris, much like Todd Boehly is a saint compared to his predecessor.

Wouldn't mind a Boehly.

Boehly is an idiot by football standards.
But he is backing his team
Can’t fault that at all

Awful drive away from St Mary’s today. Took around 90 mins to travel a mile. Which is also roughly how long it takes spurs to move the ball past the halfway line.

ok, that was a low blow. Seriously though, if I hadn’t known it was Spurs playing there were times today when it could’ve been 19th v 20th. How many times did we gift them possession in our own half under no, or negligible pressure? It was abysmal. The goals we gave away were awful too. I haven’t seen the penalty back (and won’t be watching MOTD either) but I gather we have been seen off by VAR there. I’d be intrigued to see the VAR decision in the first half where their defender used both hands to deflect the ball away in their penalty area. Yes, his hands were in front of his body but he still stuck them in the way of the ball. Looked a one to me.
Penalty excises aside, I thought that Southampton had more desire and aggression that us. They looked far more up for the game than us and quite frankly they deserved a point. The fact that we got outplayed and outfought by statistically the worst side in the league, even though they layer midweek is frankly embarrassing. It becomes acutely worse when you consider we had a two goal lead with 15 mins remaining.
Add Conte’s rant into the mix and it’s very evident that the club is in a very bad place right now. I’m inclined to agree with those that say we can’t keep hiring and firing and that eventually we need to back someone and stick with them. But the someone in question needs to want to be backed. And I don’t think he does. So, I think we need to get rid immediately.
As for me, work has kindly ‘invited’ me to go abroad for the rest of the season. I’ll miss my family but on the upside thank goodness I won’t have to attend any more games.

Just saw the penalty decision. I know I'm biased but in a million years, that's not a pen.

Shocking decision, it really was.
While we should be comfortable in beating soton, the ref was fairly ropey today. He let labia commit so many fouls before finally booking him. But still, we should not be relying on officials to win. But maybe is fans expect too much (that’s what the gaffer says). But I’m sure the lads will learn from this and go again and get behind the new manager who will get some of the players he wants and then rinse and fcuking repeat.

Yeah, I’m not disagreeing with any of that. Just talking about the penalty decision in isolation. It’s beyond belief that was given with VAR.

I find it weird that it’s not being picked up as a cook up on TV or in the press
I cannot fathom how that was given

Thought that against Forest too. it's just so painful to watch

Just saw the penalty. If anything it should have been a free to Sarr. Something stinks about it. As for Conte, I have been thinking for a while now that he is angling to get sacked. This isn't the first time he has made provocative comments.

Just seen the post match press conference, and finally I see the real Conte! I'm very happy that he basically slaughtered every single one of them! And he's right!
Shame he has been, like he said, hiding his emotions, for so long. I think this reaction is needed. The players need a good old kick in the nuts!
Hopefully at least some of them will understand the message of what is needed, and the rest will hopefully fudge off come the end of the season.
I fully back Conte on this rant. Do I want him next season? I didn't, but I'm curious to see what kind of reaction he gets from the players from this! It might be a turning point. Hopefully we can shift the players that just want to be comfortable, and get some fighters in. Then we might see a real Conte team next season.

Must admit, when I first heard the comments I thought he was just angling to get the sack. But having watched him on video he is just simply genuinely fuming at the bottle job nature of the players and of the way the club operates.

And yes you can call him out about his tactics etc as much as you want, but he is bang on - and he is bang on when he says you can change manager again but it will still be the same (except a more attractive brand of football). But regardless, he will most likely be gone very soon…..

But so much of this is down to him. He has had the funds to rebuild the squad. He has the position to motivate the players, get them to be better than they are and to work tirelessly, collectively, together. And yet the team’s failings are in part at least a reflection of Conte’s failings, but he blames anyone else but himself.

The var backs the ref 99% of the time regardless. If the ref hadn’t given it the var would have agreed. The system is a total joke. Just like the mm offsides where there are frame rate questions and how do they know they have paused the tape at the exact moment the player passes the ball.

The whole thing fudging stinks.

When you also consider our league has welcomed and allowed friends of war criminals to utterly *struggle cuddle* the integrity of the english game and now continues this practice as we descend into a playground of the middle easts human right abusers taking over our league and using it to wash blood of their hands.

What a fudging concoction. Shut the whole fudging thing down it makes me sick.
