***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs. Saudi Sportswashing Machine***

Which makes the tactic of playing your first 11 till they drop more of a head scratcher TBH. You would like to think rotation based on oppo would be a better load manager. Anyway let's see

I agree, although I can see logic in treating this year like two distinct seasons, with the WC break.

Get as many points as possible now, reset over Christmas, fill the gaps in January, kick on like last season.

Everyone fudging off the WC should do so knackered, they can recuperate on national team time.

Last week: Conte doesn’t rotate enough!

This week: Why has Conte changed the team so much!

:p
The point is to change one or two players each game, not running your first 11 to the ground, then make wholesale changes, with some players having had 0 minutes before, playing with other bit part players. It's a recipe for disaster! You introduce your bit part players into the "normal" team, not a totally new 11!

Spot on. Continuing to repeat the same approach and expecting a different result? Madness! Odds on awkward passing between the two, errors leading to goalscoring opportunities and total absence of attacking threat on that side --- all high.

I get resting Doherty after a return from injury and with important games coming up, but not giving Spence a chance? How bad must he be in training?

My other concern is if Castle have so much fun on the right side. Again the subs will come very late. I hope they prove me wrong but honestly.....I'm concerned

Exactly, and we saw it when Bissouma came in absolutely stone cold with no minutes to a chorus of "see he is not ready" but the reality is it works both ways, you only get ready by getting in the minutes or having exposure to solid minutes. But now we have to make wholesale changes regardless so we have to live and die by the decisions made so lets hope it works

I wouldn't call this wholesale changes, Royal has been the first choice LWB in the league, Sanchez has played around half of the games, Skipp is the only surprise really, and he has proven his worth in the past.

This is not going to be easy, they are a well organised team that don't give out many chances. We need to make the best of any openings we get so I hope the team have been practicing their shooting. Even Conte said we need to be more clinical upfront. Good to see Skip back.

Hopefully our right side does not get ripped a new one today, but not getting my hopes up.

After the Arsenal draw we really need to win if we are seriously going to challenge Arsenal for 2nd (see what I did there)

Saudi Sportswashing Machine are miserly in defence, this will be a tight affair, but strangely enough I dont see a 0-0. more likely a 1-1
