The only encouraging thing I saw there today was the expression on Levy's face. He didn't look impressed.
 
I was disappointed with the West Ham result but thought "well these happen". The Emirates Marketing Project result was "ok well they are a very good team, we didnt turn up and other teams have pasted here". Today for me was the litmus test. After the Emirates Marketing Project result there were signs of a slightly more expansive side, who showed a little bit of character. I thought we would go out today with a point to prove and show that we had it in us to really challenge at the top of the table for the rest of the season.

We were awful. Its apparent that we are getting worse as a team and i will be surprised if AVB is not sacked. I have been saying to myself it takes time to gel. I was satisfied with us grinding out results at the start of the season and thought defensively we were sound. Well thats gone now, the attacking aspect of our game hasn't improved at all and we have lost the control of posession that we had as well. Earlier in the season there were bright spots for me and signs that left me hopeful but now i can't see any.

Sorry man, I didn't mean it like that, but I approach every game with caution these days. We actually looked worse than when we got tonked by City though, our midfield discipline at times is horrible.

If we are being honest, we know AVB is done, and even if he manages the next game, in Levy's mind he is done so he'll be looking for replacements already. We (a) want our Tottenham back and (b) want a plan of how we are going to finish top 4/compete.
 
I've always supported AVB and believe he has a long-term plan, one that if successful, will make us a top top team. Unfortunately, for the first time, I'm wondering about the quick fix - as this is truely awful.

The whole BAE and Ade situation too - what is happening there?

I won't be surprised if he is moved on tbh, at least there won't be a big payout.

On the other hand, he hasn't got some of the players he wanted and he lost Bale (which it appears was unexpected).

A real shame.
 
Everyone saying avb should resign now - and then what? It's all well and good calling for the world and his wife to take over, but I think a bit of patience would go a long way. Our away from suggests that it isn't nearly as hopeless as everyone is suggesting, and it's always gonna be difficult to integrate so many new players at once. I'm not convinced by how things have gone recently, but... I'm lost for words. The reaction on here seems to make no mention of the part the players have in this, individually as well as collectively

And why sell VDV? Baffling decision, Sig is a good player but he's not VDV.

Real, real shame.

I can see everything he is trying to do, and understand it all. I don't even mind Ade and Benny, it's probably more about their character as opposed to their quality as player, so I can understand if he wants to get a certain type of squad personality.

But something is wrong here. It shouldn't be this bad. Bumps along the way, sure. But this is something else.

who will AVB put on when sandro gets injured?


The whole things is so repetitive and depressing. He refuses to try new things except when he randomly tries inverted wingers from time to time.

I want us to finish seventh this season, so we don't have to worry about Europa, either that or we do actually play a completely different 11.
I want an end to the high line BS, so long as we have slow defenders to rely on.
I want Lloris to stop running out all the time.
I want someone to tell me what Paulinho and Dembele actually do, because I cannot quantify exactly what it is. Neither is scoring goals, offering good defensive cover etc.
I want a new left back, a new centre back.
I want a new manager who can take the players we have and actually have them playing pass and move football. There is no way you cannot play decent passing football with players like Eriksen and Holtby in your squad.
I want a PS4 for christmas (may buy a photo of one off ebay and try my luck with posting a story to the press).

It is Dawsons fault he doesn't lead the line properly though, he should be barking out the orders, keeping the line tight for offside etc and also helping Capoue learn the position and he does none of that.

It looks that way when you deliberately ignore all the things he does try because it doesn't fit your argument.
